Okay so Barbie is 59 have Mattel ever said how old her looks is ? she looks like she could be in her late 20's or early 30's and i would love to see Mattel bringing out a barbie from every 10th b-day but just like a limited doll version with the aging marks and all just to keep it real.

The one challenge with this doll (just for future note) is her dress can become a little sticky when out of the box and stored. I’m sure she’s good when on a shelf with air, but I know with mine when I pull her out of storage I’m constantly pulling at the train to get it to fluff out again due to the finish used to fix the glitter to the tulle. But agreed such a lovely doll, as is her sister doll ‘Generations of Dreams’ Barbie (with the Kylie Minogue “inspired” dress).
She's great! I also love the Lara face - I just recently found a Lara dressed as an artist, with a wonderful sweater, painting smock and an easel and art equipment. Her face looks so much like a young Barbara Stanwick - stunning! She's my only Lara! Suresh, did they have a Silkstone Anniversary doll at the same time? I would have thought they would have done that. I admit my knowledge of Silkstone dolls is limited. :>) Have a great weekend!

Yes, I wasn't too impressed with the publicity hand out that was the "documentary" about Barbie. There were too many misstatements, shall I say. "Saint" Roberts didn't invent squat, she stole ideas and concepts left and right. But then, I don't need to get my blood pressure up; she's gone and all things go round. The doll is lovely, dear...and I'd put some pearl polish on those shoes. They just look cheap.
Oh my dear! I wasn't complaining about Barbie, just the documentary. And the only reason that Barbie became huge was that Roberts literally gave her away for a dollar. Great marketing campaign, similar to what Gillette did. Even three years later (?) when they "introduced" TNT...the concept was popular in the doll market before Barbie even came out. Barbie is a marketing success because of the brilliant strategy of keeping the doll at the forefront of the market. I've been watching Suresh's channel almost from the beginning, and I'm certainly not going to stop now. I just have issues with that particular documentary, as our Suresh does.
The toys that made us seems to have been only focused on business point of view ... that’s why I didn’t like it that much I would’ve like it to be more fan/nostalgia oriented...
