Iv had pretty good luck with these 90s Marco motors. The metal ones in these date back to about 1989 or 1990. There was a few that had the metal and a few that had the plastic motors as Lasko was kinda phasing them out at that point.
Other than the medium windings becoming weak (which I don't understand what it is that happens to cause that), I have as well. The original 3733 we bought back in 99 has an unbelievable amount of hours on it and still runs great.
I really like how it moves a lot of air and has an almost perfectly balanced blade, which is quite unusual for a Lasko fan. I also really like the sound of it.
I’m searching for all of the models that have a flower pedal blade and Marco motor, so far I have one broken one. Edit: I gotta say these are really some of the best plastic box fans ever made.
I used to have one from 2015 that came with the 2003 weathersheild ultra. I dont have either one anymore. But the premium was my window fan, and it did very good being from the 2010s.
@@1998MonroeNYColoniali have a motor from the early 2000s that i put inside my 2018 weathershield and the performance is amazing! Idk why these motors get so much hate

These box fans I remembered from childhood, but mostly with little motors and then the ones with blue plugs.
I remember seeing both.

Indeed, balance is a rare feat when it comes to Lasko blades.
Those early pedal blade Laskos are quite powerful! I have the same fan from 2000/01 it still has the marco motor mounts but recalled psc
Indeed.
Wow bro another one i can't wait to see you put this one and the other one in service this upcoming summer i enjoyed the video
The servicing videos will come soon. Glad you enjoyed it bro.
Good initial checkout video of this Box fan i can't wait for cleaning and servicing video bro

I wish there was some way to reduce the whirring sound on my 3733 so it wont be as loud
There is not.
I love the marco motors man wish lasko would bring them back
Thanks for letting me know.

I do agree, these are extremely high performance fans.

@JordanU thanks! I'm hoping to find another premium !
I literally just seen one of those on marketplace in my home state with the original box too
Thanks for letting me know.
My mom had one in the 90s
Thanks for letting me know.
These were definitely some of the LAST well made Lasko box fans before the unreliable PSC motors. They certainly don’t make fans like they used to.
The PSC motors were not unreliable.
I’m talking about the recalled PSC ones that came shortly after.

@@Fanscarsetc the Marco motors were pretty decent. The PSC motors that came afterwards were either a hit or mess for their quality.
@@1998MonroeNYColonial I do not find those PSC motors to be unreliable.
I like it
