Well, when I bought this salt block from Amazon, it was being advertised as deer bait lol

Of course it's edible, but not on its own in large quantity. 😅 Blocks like these are for laying your steak or fish or something on them, before grilling and that way they get salted instead of you sprinkling salt on them. Now, if a block says it's not for human consumption but it's for animals, maybe it has impurities or something, it's not treated. I couldn't advise you eat from it. 😅 But I do, I buy unrefined salt mined in my own country (it's not pink, it's white) and I don't mind the soil particles in comes with.
