Just an FYI... You can upgrade the power supply and get a lot more output from this amp. Jumping up to 19-20V >3a will give the best results (some say you need to add a heat sink to the chip). At that level you can actually drive some full-range speakers very well. It sounds a little clinical and not very "warm" but it's pretty decent paired up with a DAC and some bookshelves as an alternative to a sound bar for a TV.
Thank for the review Jiles. Looking for a mini amp to supply sound to bookshelf speakers for my garage. Ideal setup is to utilize the aux port of the Lepai synced to my phone (USB-C to 3.5mm aux cable), and connect a small desktop FM radio to the RCA. Note: radio has aux port, so a 3.5mm aux to 2 RCA adapter audio cable would serve as the bridge to the Lepai amplifier. Do you see any problem with this setup? Any recommendations?
I have been driving some MTX AAL 8" I have had since I was a teenager with this amp for years. It is also backed up with a small 8" Energy sub and is plenty for my garage setup. Was surprised it was able to drive them when I hooked it up! Also runs cool as a cucumber and never seems to get even warm.
Hello can I plug in my Logitech Z333 2.1 speakers into this? Just looking for a cheap alternative to make them louder. Let me know please. Appreciate the video. Thanks
I bought 2 of these Lepai amps 4 years ago and have been enjoying them every day. I listen to music and stream from my laptop and phone, and I'm very satisfied with the sound quality.
Thank you so much for the review! It was extremely helpful, buddy!
Nice video thanks
Thanks for the review. Your mic gain needs turned down a bit. It's clipping.
Got it covered in newer vids!
Can I plug my headphones into it
Yah

I have 2
Scosche HD4004 HD Speakers
4 oms 30 wat RMS 120 Peek
will the Lepai LP-2020TI drive both?
I would think so.
I got LP-2020TI and it works fine. I can not tell if it gets hot or not. If it get really hot it will jest stop working right?

Seems like it would work. Are you on a super tight budget? If not look at the SVS desktop amp/streamer.
@@JilesMcCoyThanks! I actually went with the Kinter K3118. Got the amp, a little bigger power supply and 'open-box' speakers for about $50.

I don't believe so. Those look like they have a built in amplifier.
@@JilesMcCoy ok thanks
Very good thanks!
Thank you too!
Good video, but I gotta ask, how do you sit so close to a monitor so big? That's gotta mess your eyes up.
Practice!

That's super cool!
Kevin, how do you stream from your phone, etc? Is it a wired connection or a stream; either WIFI or bluetooth? What sort of speakers are you using?
can i use a subwoofer with that ???
nice video
Please sub!
I'm fairly new to amplifiers. Do you need a soundcard or can you connect it via aux to your pc?
blankblank You can use the 3.5 out no problem if you want to.
@@JilesMcCoy Thank you!!
