You still have many years into this job left ahead of you, there is no point in tiring yourself so early. Take your time, and you will see how things end up working out.

Do you have any recommendations for good wider reading and books to read before applying to vet school? I will be applying next year but I have no idea where to start with this part of the application!
Hi, I'm a final year vet at Liverpool. To be honest, wider reading really doesn't matter and I definitely don't think that it benefits interviews (especially because veterinary textbooks are so expensive!). What I would say is more important is being a well-rounded individual. Yes you love animals and are interested in a career as a vet but what else can you say about yourself? What are your hobbies and interests? Do you do any volunteering work or have you had a part-time job where you've learnt teamwork/leadership skills. If you are desperate to do any wider reading I would just check out a few recent VetRecord articles online :)
Hey Rebecca, definitely I do! Its great to get started by learning more about the profession and for that purpose, wider reading is useful, but don't stress too much on it as other aspects like developing your personal skills through volunteering, getting involved in societies and excelling in studies is important too.

No not really, they are different depending on the country.
Dvm = america VMD= UK &Canada I'm pretty sure

Do vets earn alot of money
My last year in vet school and i couldn't learn anything for two years because of online education. i don't know what to do when i graduate anxiety is killing me🥲🥲 btw i'm following you from turkey so sorry for my bed england:Ddd
