Thank You, Lord, for reminding us through the life of faith of Abraham:
1. OBEDIENCE Genesis 12, Hebrews 11:8
2. RESTEDNESS in God.
Psalms 37:5,7 Delight yourself in the Lord, rest in the Lord. Commit your ways to the Lord.
Freedom to let go & let God. Nothing we can control except our response. Put your faith in God no matter what. Genesis 13
Abraham learned that blessing does not depend on the land but on God. Genesis 18.
Abraham knows that God is just. HIS heart is loving, willing to spare the city.
3. SURRENDER everything to God. Genesis 22:1-2
Your faith muscle will not grow unless it is tested. James 1:1-4
OBEDIENCE to God is the evidence of our faith on God and His promises.
Faith is more than a feeling but an obedience.
Genesis 12:1-2
It's never too late to change the direction of your life. Start with obedience to God.
James 2:17 - 19 Faith without work is dead. ( I will show you my faith by my works).
Faith is never alone. It is coupled with the action of obedience.
My security is not in lying but on God.
Differentiate the gift from the Giver.
Lord, help me to focus on You and not on the blessings alone.
Business is ok but anything we priotize above God is idolatry.
Genesis 22,
Hebrews 11 :17-19 The test of true faith is obedience.
Lord, as You remind me the need to desire to honor You, help me respond and to not take Your goodness for granted.
As You command us to obey Your laws for our own good, Thank You for providing us with wisdom, strength and resources to obey You through the power of the Holy Spirit.

But did Abraham know he was willing to offer up Isaac? Until it was tested,

(devil believed that there is one God: but not the gospel of Jesus Christ)
20 But wilt thou know, O vain man, that faith without works is dead?
21 Was not Abraham our father justified by works, when he had offered Isaac his son upon the altar?
