Angel visits Faith in prison

- The very heartwarming last scene from the Angel episode "Judgment." Eliza Dushku reprises her role as Faith in this unannounced (and most welcome!) cameo after her villain arc on both Buffy and Angel ended years prior. I find it surprisingly wholesome and sweet that Angel checked in on her to make sure she's doing OK despite all she did in the past. It's also low key refreshing to see that Faith's redemption arc was truly genuine and she is staying on the path.
Recorded and uploaded as my vote for the Angel subreddit's "best non-action scene" voter tournament for season two.
I got to meet Eliza Dushku at a Con. I wasn't waiting in line or anything. I was watching some guy show off his Sugar Gliders (flying squirrels) and suddenly she was standing next to me and laughing just like everyone else. She was super friendly, nice and very funny. It was really interesting to meet her organically as just another person. 10/10 great meet up. Highly recommend. Would do again LOL
not 10/10, she's 5 by 5 😁
I would love to meet her someday I actually love her but I’m in the uk and she never comes to any cons her
"Road to redemption is a rocky path."
"That it is."
"Think we might make it?"
"We might..."
Man Angel protecting Faith from Buffy was peak
The writing. The directing. The acting. Man. I miss that.
"I had to sing Barry Manilow. In front if other people."
"And here I am talking about my petty problems."
Physical wounds heal, especially with Slayer regeneration. Gonna take a while to recover from Mandy.
It amazes me how many Buffy fans have never watched Angel. I love this show!
Except for the last episode
@@srkh8966The last episode of Angel is near-perfect. I feel bad for you.
Too bad Faith never returned for the final season of 'Angel'. She would've been a great ally or member of Team Angel. I love her relationship with Angel.
She and Angel would have fought over who actualy gets to fight the dragon...
@@shaynekell7343 maybe. 🤣
She couldn't go back to LA or she would get arrested. She broke out of jail.
@@canadianbeef1958 oh, right.
@canadianbeef1958 Still would have been worth it. And I think LA going to Hell with Demons and such kinda trumps cops trying to arrest her.
"I got the Dragon."
"No I've got the Dragon." *get her 'toys' ready* "This is gonna be fun." 😅
A pleasant surprise for viewers and Buffyverse fans.
This made my whole day! I am SO glad this popped in my notifications! 😃
Man, Faith's silent yet sweet "Hey" just brought a tear to my eyes. Such a heartwarming scene.
Really loved how they gave her a redemption arc. Thank you so much for the video. I miss this show and the characters. Buffy included. 😊❤
I always thought the two of them should have had more screen time. The best episodes of Angel are always when Faith is there. I don't think they would have made a good couple, but they easily could have been the best of friends.
They had a pretty good run together in a comic book series published by Dark horse comics.
@@jasonfloyd9394 dating or best friends?
This is why I loved Angel.. It didn't forget about the others that were equally trying to do the right thing.
Same
Yeah I loved it later when they called back to this bit, when Angel went bad (again), and Faith breaks out to deal with him. They leave it vague as to what her motivation is, as you are lead to believe it's because she's the only one who is strong enough to kill him. But the reveal at the end, that the reason they asked for her, is that she knew how hard he fought to save her, and how he believed in her to be able to change, that she wasn't going to give up on him. Because she knew how hard HE wanted to be good, despite his demonic nature.
Eliza Dushku has always had such incredible screen presence in all of her work. Absolutely adore her.
Eliza is so cute 😍😍😍
Always lked Faith. Even when she was a bad girl.
Especially when
*only when
Angel's expression at 0:40 when he confirms Faith indeed didn't commit murder this time is sooooooooo funny. I can't stop laughing
I love the attention to detail with the reflection in the glass.
I loved faith and angel's bond so much. My fav was him protecting faith from buffy. Idc about angelbuffy shippers. These two had an amazing bond that deserved more attention. They both found that one person willing to forgive and support in each other without judging.
He saw himself in her for sure
I wish After the Fall made it to live action.
Don't we All😔...
I feel like Faith and Angel are like brothers and sisters. Not blood related, but there when they both really need it. The struggles between these two have some great chemistry.
I have to admit is was nice to see some followup on what was happening with her. And I was not expecting it at the time.
Eliza should of been so much bigger star.
She is a bomb.
Faith the true vampire slayer!
shoudve been
@@vanyadavydov2403 no, she was the true slayer. If Willow didn’t cast that spell awakening future slayers, Faith’s death would have continued the slayer legacy. That’s why when she died and went to “heaven” no other slayer was awaken.
Thx for the upload.
i was always hoping for a faith spin off
She looks like Cordelia
Hotter than Cordelia.
Why didn’t we get a Faith spinoff?😊
She went to do Dollhouse
Eliza Dushku wanted to do other projects. However, she had little to no success after 'Buffy'. But then, she returned to Whedon 6 years later and did 'Dollhouse', which was also a failure.
@@kenrickbautista6141 she got paid so a win for her
What episode and season was this?
Season Two, Episode One. Episode title is "Judgment"
Wonder what happened to Faith's parents? It wasn't told and also it wasn't told if Faith had any siblings or not when she came to Sunnydale and met Buffy and her friends before meeting Angel there.
I haven't gotten to season 3 on my rewatch yet but I'm pretty sure she said it was just her & her mom. And then I think her mom died just before she was called to be a slayer
She was on her own very young. She alluded to her mom's "boyfriends" , so she had it hard.
*It's very dark.*
She saw her mother killed by her stepfather in a domestic when she was twelve.
And they were very dysfunctional before that, with both being abusive alcoholics.
Her biological father was sent to prison for armed robbery when she was four.
And there's a bunch of other stuff, I haven't read the comics but just cliff notes - she was possessed by Meanads when 6 and killed her best friend.
Her foster parents (after her mother was murdered) were demon worshippers that wanted to sacrifice her, and she ran away and lived on the streets.... as a beautiful twelve year old girl whose late mother was an alcoholic stripper.. and she'd been told most her childhood she'd end up just like her mum.
And she definitely had extreme Borderline Personality Disorder.
So she survived moving from boyfriend to boyfriend and doing sex work.
That's implied a lot in the series. She even thought the Mayor was originally going to be just another _sugar daddy._ That's why when he was non sexual to her, it had so much emotional impact.
*You show Faith you love her by **_not_** wanting to have sex with her.*
And then the Watchers council, of course, doesn't have therapists.
Awesome show just rewatched all of it
I always remember being like 'hey, if everybody looks that glamorous in prison sign me up for a conviction and a makeover'
Thinking it’s incredibly dangerous for Angel to visit Faith in jail. I mean, visiting hours are during the day, right? And even if he got in, he’d be in danger all the while in there, right?
Does he still have the ring Buffy gave him?
He does risky things when he believes they are necessary for a good purpose. In this case the danger isn't violence, but it's the same kind of choice.
@@raineyhayes3821 He destroyed it after Spike came after it in LA.
@@raineyhayes3821no. He destroyed it because he decided he didn’t need it.
Love faith!!!!!
Jings- it was so good.
She was so good.
"This what about saving someone's SOUL, that's what I do here." ♥️
I lived for Tuesday nights. And when Angel spun off from Buffy, my whole world stopped for 2 hours. Both of those shows sustained me during some pretty funky times in my life. I will always say that Buffy and Angel were the best shows on television, bar none. The allegories were endless.
Same here. During that time I was being bullied almost everyday at school, and my parents were going through a divorce, but every Tuesday night I was in Sunnydale and LA with these guys. No other show had the same effect on me as these two.
Thursday then Friday on sky one
Same. My TV trifecta was Buffy, Charmed, and Xena. Those TV hours were sacred and god help anyone who tried to take away the remote. 😅
eliza couldve been one of the good ones but she let divahood go to her head1!!!
She was offered to do a series or miniseries to tell Faith story but she declined while she would have enjoyed telling Faith's story she felt that it wouldn't have done good
