  • An Ex-Reform rabbi informs the Rebbe that he is returning to Orthodox Judaism.
"To go in the way that you have chosen means you must be very strict to fulfill all the instructions of G-d Almighty as they are recorded in the Code of Jewish Law. Influence your pupils to do the same, and that will fortify yourself as well."

How lucky to be among those that could seek the Rebbe's council. I would only have a million questions.

The Rebbe is just so cool. I read that he would stay up sometimes until 4 am talking to and helping people.

Not only that he helped build the Missouri at the Brooklyn navy yard as an Electrical quality inspector of wiring during WWII - he had an EE degree from a French university. - Tim Fidler

He did this every day-stayed up to 4 am. Having one on one sessions with people. His wife waited for him every night so that he would not eat alone. Slept little, ate little, his estate was a pair of tefillin. He had everything.

I believe that man tested the Rebbe with the Torah and God gives Rebbe the words to stand up..

antonio S. its a one dollar bill that the Lubavitcher Rebbe gave to people coming seeking advice and blessing. Yhe bill was a kind gesture from the Rebbe to encourage that person to do a good deed and give it to charity.

The Rebbe's Father-in-Law (the sixth Lubavitcher Rebbe) believed that when two Jews meet, a third should be helped. That is why he gave out the dollars, in order for charity to be an outcome of his meetings with the public.
