It’s laughable. when you have a center that is making 45 percent on layups someone has to go in there to make up the rest of it or else the defense is just going to keep everything and everyone in front of them so they can easily pick them apart. If KD had a decent center then he can throw it to whenever he is on the perimeter and it wouldn’t force him to drive more. But Whenever he throws it to the centers it’s always the center flopping for a call just throwing it away. Beal was brought in to be the driver and the one to put pressure on the rim but he is not. Go bring a center that can put pressure on the rim than if u don’t want KD to drive or just sit back and watch Tyus Beal Book KD play hot potato on the perimeter with 5 defenders easily guarding them cause they don’t care about Nurkic 45 percent or Plumlee who can’t decide which hands to go up with. If KD wasn’t driving it would just make it even more easier to guard us. When he drives nobody is cutting and they just stand behind the defenders. The Tyus u brag about always comes one game to score and facilitate and disappears the next game. If he wants to be impactful with how much he gives up on defense he has to stay aggressive any time he is on offense or it’s pointless to have him out there just to dribble around and toss it to KD to bail him or blame him if it ends up being a turnover.
Tyus turn over ratio is so fake. He doesn’t create advantages and set our guys up at all. There’s a reason he’s a back up, he legit doesn’t run winning type of offense, he’d actually use plumee or nurkic in a close tight game in the clutch lol he’s not actually a winning type player
Is this an indictment on tyus jones or more so the offensive being ran by the coaching staff? If he is bringing the ball up, and passes to KD, book or Beal, and they run the offense. Until they run the offense through jones, we won’t know if he is “fake”.
The difference between Beal and Demar is that, despite how much we act like Beal is older than Gandalf, he's actually only like 3 years older than Mikal and Cam J, and he realizes that he still has another contract to play for after this one. If he was asked to go the bench, it'd have to be sold to him in a way where he'd still be able to get starter type money (obviously not to the extent he has on his current deal) down the road either in Phoenix or elsewhere. With Tyus, I think the reason he's starting is because that spot was promised to him outright hence why he took a sweetheart deal when there were better offers on the table. I'd be more careful about that because it'd be a harder sell than what I mentioned with Beal and it'd bring back old ghosts of the McDonough era with how the relationship with Dragic and the Morris twins fell apart due to what they felt were broken promises.

Josh Okogie being offensively playable has made Tyus minutes expendable, if Okogie's production never decreases and he can still hit 39% from 3 while being a major energy spark, rebounder, and + on defense, he's basically the one responsible for tyus not being played as much lol he's like derrick white 0.8 right now

Bench Nurk. Play Dunn in his place. KD center, Dunn power forward, Book small forward, Beal 2 guard, Tyus pg. Rotation Oneal,Allen, Okogie. Oso back up center.
And just get cooked by bigger teams and put KD at risk of early foul trouble by being the only Big… I say start Dunn, make Beal the 6th man… gotta start Nurk until we trade him. Gotta keep his value somewhat neutral
