on the Q9 hand, most do not check the turn with a hand like jacks or queens b/c of the draws out there....also your 9 does matter b/c you are blocking some bluffing hands. A4 aces or kings are the only hands you can't beat
Novice question here. When putting these vlogs together, obviously hindsight can help flesh out anyalsis, how much of the thought process you are so great at articulating matches up with your thinking on each of these hands in real time? Are you going through the same in depth consideration when at the table?
Great vlog! Love to hear your comments on these hands and like the side bar to see what everyone has bet. Very helpful comments. GL next time! Heading to Cherokee in a few weeks to play the WSOP circuit. I will keep this session in my mind for some food for thought!
Raise turn is better on AJ three of a kind hand. You raise to 600 and get called by A8 which is +500 on the stret. Then stacks in on river. Vs the extra 150 and only get extra value with Q river but then you chop so you come out behind vs raised turn
Hey Wølfgâng! Had a thought, you should let rampage know to start doing TH-cam shorts as well. That’s how I found you definitely the best way to get exposure. Anyways keep up the good work 🎉
So with your logic you would be folding AA to one flop check raise on q77? Surely this should mean we should be doing a lot more checking back on paired flops?
Lol I love these poker vloggers hitting crazy hands and then worried about who has the nuts. I just lost $4K tonight and the best holding I had was pocket queens one time, continuing an insanely horrible run of cards and a $30k downswing
That was brutal. 1 A was already burned in your KK v AK chop....then u lose as almost a 75% favorite AK v AQ. Play was great, just ran horribly in your 2 preflop all-ins.
any overpair would bet the turn on Qh Js 4h 7d.......what hand does he arrive at the river that beats you after checking the turn? His bluffs continue to bluff the turn (you don't block flush draws either), and his value will be bet on the turn to charge for your hypothetical draws or top pair. His line doesn't make any sense and there are more bluffs than value on the river. call call call
Wolfgang, Hi, My name is, James. Mariano, Kiran, and Rampage Vlogs along with yours ae very useful vilogs that have helped my game tremendously. If and where do you guys play online.? Are online Tourneys safe from people using technology to see hands? Appreciate the input, take care and good luck!
ok wolfgang lets review the jd's ace-king hand. calling here at the end is tough really tough? but lets go back to hands in your life where you called a river bet with ace high. why did you that? because more times than not it just doesn't make sense! and what are we taught? if it doesn't make sense we should call. when he checks the turn, what hand do you put him on? i would have put him on a hand like ace-king non hearts, pocket tens, ace-queen, or something where he is utilizing pot control. a hand like pocket aces or pocket kings should be betting the turn and not allow the flush or straight draws to see a card for free. having said that, i think i would of been more afraid of a two-thirds bet on the river oppose to this jam. that bet would tell me he has at least ace-queen or better and depending on the size of that bet if decide to call or not. i think he was putting u on a one pair hand only so his only play to win the pot is to shove. sometimes we hate calling with mediocore hands but then why play them? i would have thought for about two minutes and call this bet because if he is trying to get max value for a good hand, then why is he betting me out of the pot? he knows u r good enough to fold a one pair hand. now if i had a the nuts and were playing a fish and i thought he had a one pair hand, i would shove here. of course HE would think i was bluffing. so asking yourself what you think your opponent thinks you have is just as important as what you think he has.
Actually i think you had been missing out on quite a few value bets, checking with best hand isnt usually the best thing Also, what i have learned is that when value betting , you wanna bet roughly 70% of the pot when you have the nuts as you often will get called as it is both a value bet and a bluff bet, its about 50% of being called and its better for when you are bluffing too, rather than the 30% value bets you put in as those are called a bit more often but bluffs will be easily called too as they are easier to reqognise But thats how i play, other than that, hate to see that last hand, unfortunate Edit: i also think you should have called the all in the guy made when yku had Q9 as in my eyes the check was a clear sign he prolly had AJ or AK of hearts, or any AK hands as he would have value betted 100% of the times , i dont see a situation where A4 comes that far I also think you should bet more when you think you have the best hand as you have to controle your own pots(thats what i believe) Would love to hear your thoughts on it
ok wolfgang, why did you call on the river when he had the nuts? you said in your analysis that maybe he had a hand like ace-five or something like that. wolf, that hand beats jack ten!! one important variable in becoming a top notch pro is to assess the players at your table accurately. in how kenny was playing up to this point,, had he ever bet the river with bottom pair or bluffed? also, look at his posture. he leaned forward and is engaged with this bet. he looks like someone ready to do battle. this is a tell that screams strength!!!!! finally, his bet looks like a value bet. now if u had two pair here then forget everything for the most part that i just said because a call is required. if i were u in this spot and seeing that he led out into me on the river, something i havent seen him do before, i would put him on at least an ace or two pair holding. giving this player type as someone who almost never bluffs, i would fold here. sucks but to be the best, you have to be disipline and make these tough descions.
Wolfgang if you look at your All in with KK the dragon only had 1 ace left in the deck as it showed in the stream ofcourse you don’t know that but how lucky can he get lol
@@justinhart7172 yep he made all the wrong decisions that day that cost him. I personally would have called with a Q there his all in line made absolutely no sense
Wolfgang: Man, I wanted to call so bad you guys didn’t see it Throws his hand in the Muck All this, TH-cam money you are making those are snap calls especially the Q9 hand
Literally had my most frustrating day (in recent memory 😂) yesterday too. I'm sorry you had a frustrating night but thank you for posting. Watching this has turned my frustration from yesterday back into a burning passion for the game. Much loves Wolfgang! Aah-wooooooooooo!
Seems like you’re playing bigger than you’re rolled for. Certainly a tough session, but I bet if you were playing 2/5 and someone 4x river jammed 800, you wouldn’t be folding top pair
What do you mean by saying "I've should've won $20,000 in this sessions"? Meaning you would've won the pots if you didn't fold, and/or made the calls against their bluffs?
Sorry but dude I get the explanation but when JD goes all in on the river after a 4 shows I'd put him on a bluff and call of I lose well shit but I'd still make it just because it feels to much like a bluff
Shitty losing session... you deserved a way better result there... keep your head up cause this was probably the session you played best, even tho u lost...
Always remember that AK is the Anna Kournikova of poker: beautiful to see but never wins. You have the right idea to shove with it but you have to know it's just not invincible. Another great vlog, keep at it.
I have a pretty strong love>hate relationship with AKo. Rarely do I 4 or 5-bet when I have it, and I can't even recall the last time I jammed with it, because whenever I do I get smashed by pocket pairs or suited connectors.
You sound like someone who has never lost $5k or more in a session. Everyone who has played high stakes for a significant amount of time has and it leaves you feeling rough.
@@Just_Pele Stakes are relative, if you lost one buy-in and felt rough you shouldn't have been playing. If losing one buy-in by having one slightly unlucky hand (70% vs 30%) is your "most brutal session ever" then poker isn't for you.
Bro, you played horrible in general. Horrible checks when you shouldve bet. And horrible bets or when you should've checked. Or just horrible play in general on all of those hands. And the poker Gods punished you at the last hand to finish you off lol 🤦 You only have yourself to blame yourself for that big loss
Obviously you're not a winning player then I've been playing over 30 years and I've never had a losing year sure there's a little bit of luck there is in all poker games 25 to 30% maybe and there's a lot of variance but you get enough hours in and put a little time in studying play against weak players and at the end of the year you'll have all their money
This was the most brutal session? Really?
I'm so happy I got a chance to play with Wolfgang himself! I was "Recursive Dragon".
Sorry about that chop.

Youre sorry because you didn't win the chop.. there's no sorry in poker... He was going for all your money..

From what I saw, you played like a beast! You got lucky on the chop but we all do sometimes. Hope you booked a good win bro!
nice playing with you! hey, chops happen i’m more mad i folded to your check raise. next time 👀
@@Some_guy_with_a_beard Thanks! It was a pretty small win: went from 13k to about 15.5k. Can't complain though: at least I didn't lose that 18k pot!

Better then an Ace on the river

Do you find that vlogging immediately after a losing session like you did for the outro helps to alleviate your tilt?
I really like how you put the visuals for the outs up top. Nicely done.

the answer is yes its just much much faster thinking all this in real time but while editing he can get more in depth and break it down

That 3 A vs 3 A hand shows why playing Ace rag is a bad idea!
I think you played the AJ vs A8 hand perfectly.
You need to add more of the Mariano “bang” effect.
