How the Day of Atonement Points to the Gospel - Jimmy Downing

Lev. 16:1-22 describes the sacrifices that God commanded the high priest to offer on the Day of Atonement. These activities all pointed ahead to Jesus Christ as the one effective sacrifice for sin and as the Great High Priest for His people. This sermon traces these many theologically rich details from the Day of Atonement to their New Testament fulfillment. As a result of Christ's completed work, all those joined to Him in saving faith now have their sins completely forgiven and enjoy continual open access to God.
