To all my ACT takers testing tommorrow. Good luck Kings and Queens Go get that 36😤😤😤 Im so scared guys this is my first time all I need is a 19 or above god I hope I get it.
I recommend taking a glance at a couple of questions from each section of an official ACT test just to get the gist of it. Also, watch her “#1 secret tip” for each section of the ACT (except for the math lol).
Take note that when taking the ACT, time is crucial! Look up some ACT videos that have time recommendations (i.e. how long to spend on each question or passage), and just keep your eye on the time (but don’t constantly look cause that’s nerve-wracking). I wish everyone the best of luck!!!!!! We got this!!!
@@green4760 Practice speed reading the entire passage and then answering the questions. I didn't really study for the reading but my friend who got a 36 told me his strategy and it worked for me. Best of luck
i’m so worried for the reading section tomorrow so thank you for this! i’ve studied a lot this week and have done some practice so i’m hoping for improvement
I somehow got a 35 on my reading and a 35 on the English section. I didn't even study. While my math and science were 24 and 25 respectively. Any advice on bringing those two sections up?
I have always had this question, doesn't matter if this is for the ACT or the SAT, people recommend building vocabulary, but what are the real chances that a specific word is going to pop up on the exam? I know many people study it so that they can often guess if the word is positive or negative by the sound of it or the word roots. But honestly, I do not think it has ever really helped me and there is a very very slight chance that a word pops up on the exam which can only happen if one must have really studied 1000s of words.
SupertutorTV do you have like a link to an online vocab set that usually covers a lot of terms on the SAT and ACT? love the vids btw really helped me decompress night before hard exams and giving me extra confidence
As a first-gen immigrant, Reading is by far my worst ACT section. Even English I can manage really well, but reading is usually where I drop the ball. Let's hope tomorrow goes well for me. Good luck to anyone else taking the June 8th ACT!
It was the same for me, so I tried out the SAT reading portion and I felt like the SAT was a bit more generous overall on the reading section than on the ACT reading section. But if you are getting a better score on the other sections than the SAT, then I would just practice on the reading section for the ACT.
Cheekati in my school, ACT is a requirement, whereas SAT is just optional. Otherwise, I would consider taking the SAT. I just don’t want more standardized tests to worry about :(
ArtinHeHe Really? U do live in the US right? Is it a requirement by which u have to submit the ACT only to colleges or can u submit the SAT too? Since most colleges in the US take either one
Cheekati Yes, I live in the US. It’s a graduation requirement, not necessarily related to college applications. I’m pretty sure we can still choose to not submit an ACT score, but submit an SAT score instead when applying to colleges. But taking the ACT and receiving a score that meets the benchmarks is something that my school requires us to do in order to graduate.
I use the KAPLAN SAT vocabulary book(there are two books, level 1 and 2). There are a lot of words and also help guess a word's meaning by including different roots and what they mean. I don't think vocabulary is that different for SAT or ACT, but if that is something you are worried about then I would search online or on Amazon.
Anybody have any more tips for the literary narrative. It just always takes me way too much time, and I miss more questions there then all other sections combined.
So I have really bad reading skills. And In order to get my diploma from FLA because the FCAT is no longer a thing, I have to take either act or sat. I chose the act and my score was a 13… what can I do to actually get my score up to a 19 so I can get my diploma…
