  • New in our Delhi Heritage series "Exploring Qila Lal Kot and Sanjay Van" with none other than Delhi's favorite storyteller Asif Khan Dehlvi :) We have also tried to a comic book styled storytellibg section this time. Hope you'll like it :)
    #FundRaiser 100% of the funds collected during this event went for #KeralaFloodRelief
    Event Description:
    Lal Kot, the first city of Delhi, that was once ruled by Rajputs, Tomars, Chauhans, Mamluks, Khiljis and so many dynasties and empires,.. now stands bare with its few defense walls as if reaching out to make you hear its tales!
    The fort ruins of Lal Kot stand quietly amongst the dense green patch of forest inhabited by some resident and migratory birds. Nestled between Vasant Kunj and Mehrauli, the historical remnants call out to people to explore the other side of Delhi.
    On 19th August, we will sit on these enchanting fort walls of Lal Kot and listen to the stories that are buried underneath. We will listen to the childhood tales of Razia Sultan, the conspiracies of the harem, the birth of Sufism and its depth, and of course trace the emergence of various cities that gradually led to the making of Delhi!
    Come, let's relive and rediscover hamara apna shahar jiska naam hai Dilli :)
    NOTE: Language : Hindi/Urdu
    Day, Date: Sunday, 19th August, 2018
    Timings: 8.30am to 11.30am
    BEST WAY TO REACH: Take the Metro till Qutub Minar Station on the Yellow Line (Gurgaon-Jahangirpuri Track), cross to the other side of MG Road and then take an Auto-rickshaw (Rs.30) to The Qutub Tiffin.
    Precautions: Please ensure that your arms and legs are covered properly and you wear sports/trekking shoes as the walls of Lal Kot are tough to walk on. Do carry a water bottle. Also, we suggest applying copious amount of mosquito repellant cream, as it's a dense green area.

    Amazing video as always mr. Pathak...But I would suggest just not to use any effects in visuals...It kind of disconnects as an audience...While asif narrates the stories and there are no visual effects it feels as if I am standing with the group...It connects more...Just a suggestion.
    Kudos to the effort.
    Cheers

    Asif khan is at the epitome of story telling....Aditya I have a question ......about Mehrauli village ...was it in existence with the name as mehrauli....during the rein of tomars and chauhan....plz forward it to Asif I will be very thankful.

    • @jashnhaizindagi
      @jashnhaizindagi  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks 😊👍 what I've heard is that we hear of several versions of the name in various official as well as unofficial documents.. E.g Mihiravali, Meher e Wali, Meher ul Auliya, and also a very different name called Yoginipura (in ancient times). I'll forward your question to Asif surely. You can also reach him at asifkhandehlvi@gmail.com directly 👍
