Thanks for sharing. The best version is still HOME-MADE Sarawak laksa. The ones they sell in Sarawak coffee shops these days seldom meet the standard of 20 years ago. They usually made of low-quality ingredients. Sometimes the prawns are not fresh; other times, no coriander or the 'belachan' is not of good quality or the gravy over-diluted. Homemade is still the best.
I'd normally stir fry the prawn head, then make a stock with it. Then if possible, add some chicken stock or pork bone stock to the laksa soup. As you can see, I love the laksa soup so much!!
In Malaysia , there are 3 famous laksa - curry laksa, Asam laksa from Penang and Sarawak laksa. If you have tried all the three, which one do you like the most?
May I know if we need to add the seasoning like salt or salt into the soup? Besides, I had Sarawak Laksa before. The prawns are usually boiled instead of fried. Do you think fried prawns are tastier than boiled ones? I would like to try your recipe.
The Prawn is definitely tastier by frying. We only boil the head so that we got the flavour in the soup. And no, the paste is already salty. But always taste it first before you add salt.
This is not definitely the real Sarawak Laksa. We don't add tau pok in the Laksa. The prawn is not stir fry method. we don't use commercial belacan to prepare belacan sambal. The sambal belacan preparation not the one you use too.
@@emileeskitchen4912 Thank you mdm. i think I accidentally used light coconut santan. Not sure if this affect or not. By the way, what is kumquat? Is it lime?
Too much water, less flavour.. you can put more water, you just need to try the flavour, if not much flavour, then keep boiling it, let the water evaporated to your liking.
I would like to know too.. hahaha. Unfortunately I don't know. It is a combination of about 20 ingredients and I guess the proportion of each ingredients is important

That is a good idea, fry the prawn head first.
I rather not stir fry the prawns as it distracts from the Laksa flavour. But each one their own ...
In Malaysia , there are 3 famous laksa - curry laksa, Asam laksa from Penang and Sarawak laksa. If you have tried all the three, which one do you like the most?
Sarawak Laksa ♥
Never tasted them. I would try all if you make them 😉 ... 🙂
Definitely Sarawak laksa the best hand down.
Sarawak laksa ftw! 😋
I vote for Sarawak laksa too

yyyyessssss that paste is the real deal!!!
tq,love this laksa sarawak, subscribe✅😍
May I know what brand bee hoon you use? Thank you
I always use jian men pai fen
Ohh wow,..its my favorite dish, what an awesome LAKSA recipe😍Thank you for sharing!👌👍Laksai i guess in Hokkien meaning -"Six taste or six colors"?
no oh.. it doesn't mean that..
Thanks Mdm. How did you add more-laksa taste to the laksa soup?
Mine is tasteless after following your recipe.
Reduce the water.. adding sambal and kumquat will add flavour.
@@emileeskitchen4912 Thank you mdm. i think I accidentally used light coconut santan. Not sure if this affect or not. By the way, what is kumquat? Is it lime?
Similar to lime. Can used lime to replace if cannot find kamquat. I don't like using anything that is light 😁😁
water just 1.5L? seems like quite little
1.5L water can serve for how many bowl?
Too much water, less flavour..

1.5 to 1.8 litre to start.

What happens if i just use coconut powder instead?
Coconut powder? I think the taste will be different
No need salt? I always fail with laksa recipe 😂
This one no need salt. The paste itself already salty 🙂
Every thing are good, only thing is you cut the lime in the wrodng way
Ya, I do noticed it 😊
The thing I hate in laksa is the tofu
Let the tofu puff soak the laksa soup, it will taste fabulous 😉
Curry mee
