The Black Cat Nero is a cover of a remake done in 1995 by the Duo Turbo (which Mingi says in the beginning of the video) from where Kim Jongkook is, the one who appears at the end of the video as a special appearance (there is a making off of this video where he tells he was invited by them and he agreed since their performance at the Immortal Songs with this cover made him -and everyone- very impressed). The original song is a Italian lullaby, and each of the three versions are different from one another - even though the Ateez cover was from the Turbo version, but they put they own flavor in the song to made their own. Also, is important to say that this Immortal Song's stage was their first, also their first win on the program. It is a highly praised show because the artists who are invited do covers and all the performances are live, but Ateez does a hard choreography while singing live and slaying all the vocals, so it was even more impressive. After this appearance, they went back another three times (total four) and won three of those four. To put it simple, this program have a different theme to every episode, and their first appearance was the Turbo special. There are six different artists competing in each episode (being woman, man, idol, trot singer, or whatever). Their second time was the legendary theme, and they sang Anyhow Song by Seo Taiji, one of the biggest artists from the 1st generation, if not the biggest soloist at all. Although it was impressive and incredible as well, thy didn't win any trophy in this episode, but their third and fourth appearance were all wins, giving them three trophies in less than nine months overall. If you want to check (I highly recommend you to do so), the third stage was Right Now, from the Psy special episode (where all artists were invited by Psy himself, and they were the only idol group), and the last one was It's Raining, from the Rain special episode. You would die laughing at that video! Promise was filmed during the European leg of their first tour, The Expedition Tour, which is documented in their 4-episode (all subbed, available on YT) Long Journey series. They had debuted about 5 months before that tour started, so the venues were still relatively small (~1000), and there were lines where they were playing. They also filmed some dance videos abroad (die here: th-cam.com/video/4xhYyuOlgVg/w-d-xo.html) with covers in Yunho/Mingi and San/Wooyoung units. I think they chose venues for those things that were either closed sets (museums and such) or were open but in places they wouldn't get swarmed.
