Your story is very similar to mine in many ways, and you articulated ways I felt during my own dark times that I couldn’t ever put into words. Praise the lord for protecting you and pulling you out of the darkness. And praise him that he’ll use your testimonies to pull others out as well.

You guys could've done much better in defining Hermeticism which is Egyptian philosophy that pre-dates Greek philosophy. Also, Hermes was said to be a person first, then ascended to godhood to be Thoth. And finally, the original alchemy is immaterial. It's a transmutation of thoughts and projected energy.
Magic is the ability to create changes in consciousness at will; or the ability to consciously use the subconscious. This can be used to further separate one from relating to others, or for furthering one’s ability to relate and have compassion. The tool is neutral, the potential unlimited. The systems we use to do this are many but ultimately all systems do the same thing. In a ‘white magic’ system you’re creating changes in consciousness to reduce separation, as to ‘unify’ with source, or god. As a yogi does in yoga. In a ‘black magic’ system, you’re creating changes in consciousness to enhance the sense of separation between self and other as to prevent relation and compassion and to allow control over others as for the benefit of the self. In the white magic system, god isn’t seen as the same as the god Christianity seems to see. God in this sense is more of the infinite potential which creation is made of and comes from. So I think when people hear, I am god, they think I am a powerful being, whilst for the one practicing it might indicate more of an experience of emptiness or sunya, or no self.

I had such a fascination with spiritualism, crystals, dabbled in divination, then eventually spell work. I went full witch/pagan for 1-2 years. I went down so many rabbit holes on the internet, trying to learn all that I could. I was fascinated with the moon, always felt drawn to it (idk what that means though), and worshipped these pantheon goddesses. I tried to make contact with ANYTHING I could. Glad nothing reached back out, but I quickly found out that if all this is real, I’m in big trouble because God is also real and I didn’t want to be on the wrong side.

Many people turn to Christianity, not because of dogma or being lost, but for personal testimonies. When people have a so-called supernatural or paranormal experience, especially when it's objective and experienced with other people, they try to find out what it is. A lot of times the occult is the left turn people make because it makes sense to them at the time. They turn to Jesus because Jesus is the way, He protects and there wouldn't be so many testimonials if He wasn't real. I would look more into it before you judge. Witchcraft is often science. I must say, I have known many a man to which, religion has most certainly been a spiritual detriment but I found this podcast absolutely fascinating. I am very spiritual but have always stayed well away from dark magic crafts and organised religion in equal measure (as both, symbolise spiritual death to me). I also, resonated with Jac's story and how tormented she was until she found her own religious healing (mine was not religious but came through a very deep, shamanic healing 3.5 years ago... I had spent all my life up until that point trying to overcoming my accumulative soul's trauma but it was only through this ancient healing, that I was truly able to heal and separate myself from my past and for that, I am very grateful) 🕊💚🕊 I can not wait to listen to part 2 of this podcast and find the whole topic very intriguing❤

Absolutely! As someone who has OCD, the number thing is a part of my daily life. Not in a ritualistic or occult type of way but more in a way “ wipe this window down 20 times… fold 10 hand towels…. I know some very wonderful people, including my family, who are Masons and in the Golden Dawn. They are also Christian and find absolutely no contradiction with that.

It’s pretty obvious what the secret is when Freemasonry is loaded with occult symbolism and rituals, that it is an occult institution. It's so interesting that as she went further into the occult she bacame further desensitized, actually believing she was getting closer to some elusive "knowledge" but never actually finding resolution to anything. Actually, when I was around seven years of age, I was playing in the kitchen in the house of an old man my mum would clean for, and he had those old style kitchen cabinets that are like a big wardrobe - not built in - with drawers and doors. I opened one and all the doors and drawers started opening and closing by themselves. That's all in the way of furniture🙂

Eesh. Full disclosure: I'm a Scottish Rite Freemason (32 degree), as well as involved with a few other Esoteric orders. Just to be clear, she did not even touch on Freemasonry. The Hermetic Order of the Golden Dawn copied many elements from Freemasonry, but would be considered essentially clandestine by a true Mason. The Order of the Eastern Star is a DEEPLY Christian organization, and I cringed when she said she avoided it because of the upside pentagram, because that's such a naive misunderstanding of the history of the pentagram symbol, which has historically been deeply linked with Christianity, and only became a symbol of "evil" in pop culture in the 1960s. Her analysis of Freemasons is utterly wrong. We are not Luciferian in the slightest, and we are certainly not Gnostics, either. I am in an interesting position now of wanting to validate her experiences and celebrate her journey to Christ, while simultaneously hearing her get SO much wrong and have such naive and distorted views of many of the things she's discussing. It comes off as very "Wikipedia"-level education.

The hardest point of trying to get out of this was the adventure of astral travel. Getting saved and giving up the practice of astral travel was a huge sacrifice - almost like making a disciplined choice to stay home and not traveling around the world or going on vacation.

Yeah, the problem with occultism is that Westerners have not quite figured out how to make room for the path of discipleship. These practices like those in eastern occultism- Are intended for enlightenment, which is ironically, and was ironically Christ’s mission. But Westerners are very materialistic, and get to tempted to abuse the practices for attainment of wealth and self Actualization. Self actualization is not the focus of a true path of power. Christ’s way even for occultists is the only way that’s what we teach in Rosicrucian lineages. Just doing magic to get results is materialism is a trap. But yeah, if you don’t find your way to the true path and it’s better to just pray, and commit to Christ. Even occultists have to find their way to Christ. He’s the master of this planet I’m saying that as an occultist.
Getting molested as a child opens a doorway to evil in our lives. It doesn't seem fair but it Is what happens. It leads to many bad things in the future. It happened to me. It's what happens to others. That is Why the scripture gives warning in Mathew 18:6.
God is eternal. When one enters into the commitment to heal, it is possible for the Lord to being the past into the present to heal. And through the power of the Holy Spirit and authentic spirit filled therapy, inner healing and deliverance one can heal the past. The person can through the power of Jesus to heal the wounds of all types of abuse. Satan always uses wounds of abuse to open the person up to the occult. People who are drawn into the occult often have someone in their generations that already unknowingly opened the occult door even dedicating their lineage to Satan in some form.
The brain is designed to SAVE THE BODY first and foremost. So I feel that when we feel or see these things I feel our own consciousness somehow trying to protect the mind and body from shock. It's the hard drive for the system so it will do whatever it takes to give the body peace in any sort of it can set the system right again.
Great conversation i would like point out its not always about being decieved into it. My own experiance was started due to being mad with god and christianity, i deliberately chose to look at the O.T.O and other Crowley material. I knew it was corrupt, and i wanted to be pure evil in direct rebellion to God. It wasnt me being decieved, i did this of my own volition. There are hidden things to disover, albeit once you know it and see it, its permanent, you cant forget it. This can be like a curse. Ill also note that i had been saved 4 years before i turned agaisnt God.. 12 years later i came back to Christ... who began to fully explain why this happened and how it could be tuned to honor God I wouldnt recommend doing this, but ive become a stronger christian as a result.

When I read "Golden Dawn," my mind went to the movie _Die Hard_ when Hans includes among his list of demands the release of the imprisoned leaders of Asian Dawn.
I was a freemason for 2 years. Active like 4 nights a week, including with York and Scottish Rites. It was a joke. NOT mystical secrets. Mish-mash jibberish and huge HUGE ego building. All men are equal they say, but make sure to recognize someone's million titles and how that makes them better. While the 'great' lessons are just kindergarten, like don't steal, don't lie, etc. Essentially if you've become a decent adult you know all the secrets. I knew a lot of Freemasons that also went to the Unitarian universalist church, which I don't like (but that's for another comment LOL). Also, as a member when we take our 3rd degree the vow includes NOT to tell the secrets to women. The reason? Women aren't capable of understanding the symbols, secrets, etc. So, don't steal. Women can't get that. The symbol of a trowel which represents the spreading of love. Women can't get that. I jest, but I've mentioned this to masons and they've told me "Oh, those aren't the symbols, other ones." I've asked them to name ONE thing women aren't smart enough to get and they can't.

With all these orgs, these are just the biggest ones. There is small off shoots of all these and all kinda weird groups to join. Gnostic Socity in LA has lectures by the guy rumored to kill Manly P. Hall. But yeah, look into all of them and stuff cuz some of them don't seem worth the investment.

From what I understand, Joseph Smith took many of his symbols and ideas from the Free Masons. I have read that there are satanic symbols carved into the outside of the Mormon Temple in Salt Lake City.
I think that's because these beliefs have been promulgated by the higher degrees of Freemasonry for centuries, and Joseph Smith's family were Freemasons for several generations, with Joseph having been initiated before he left to start his own cult.
I have come to the reality of Christ and the plan of Salvation. But here is the thing. The World is full of God’s children and there are many religions and viewpoints. Does God somehow implement only one true brand of Christianity in one particular Christian view point and some how we are all supposed to find and believe in what pastor Bob’s salvation bible church in Oklahoma says about how we all have to believe? The Roman Catholic Church has a 2000 year history ( not all of it good ) but I respect their right to worship, I can say the same thing about the Protestants , or the Presbyterians , or the Mormons or the Seventh day adventists or the Buddhists, or the Hindu’s or Muslims, or any one else for that matter. Yes I believe in Christ and yes I see through the dogmatic arrogance of putting down other peoples beliefs and points of view. Luckily tolerance is practiced for the most part in our modern day, or we’d all be burning each other at the stake, and notice that devilry pops up quite often in the world and grandiosity and superiority is usually at the bottom Shalom

I had such a fascination with spiritualism, crystals, dabbled in divination, then eventually spell work. I went full witch/pagan for 1-2 years. I must say, I have known many a man to which, religion has most certainly been a spiritual detriment but I found this podcast absolutely fascinating. I am very spiritual but have always stayed well away from dark magic crafts and organised religion in equal measure (as both, symbolise spiritual death to me). I also, resonated with Jac's story and how tormented she was until she found her own religious healing (mine was not religious but came through a very deep, shamanic healing 3.5 years ago... I had spent all my life up until that point trying to overcoming my accumulative soul's trauma but it was only through this ancient healing, that I was truly able to heal and separate myself from my past and for that, I am very grateful)

Eesh. Full disclosure: I'm a Scottish Rite Freemason (32 degree), as well as involved with a few other Esoteric orders. Just to be clear, she did not even touch on Freemasonry. The Hermetic Order of the Golden Dawn copied many elements from Freemasonry, but would be considered essentially clandestine by a true Mason. The Order of the Eastern Star is a DEEPLY Christian organization, and I cringed when she said she avoided it because of the upside pentagram, because that's such a naive misunderstanding of the history of the pentagram symbol, which has historically been deeply linked with Christianity, and only became a symbol of "evil" in pop culture in the 1960s. Her analysis of Freemasons is utterly wrong. We are not Luciferian in the slightest, and we are certainly not Gnostics, either. I am in an interesting position now of wanting to validate her experiences and celebrate her journey to Christ, while simultaneously hearing her get SO much wrong and have such naive and distorted views of many of the things she's discussing. It comes off as very "Wikipedia"-level education.

As someone who has studied the occult for over 20 years, I watch these shows where the guest claims to have been into the occult and see if they are Frauds. This young lady spoke with 100% accuracy.
I hear that many of the New Age practitioners use psychedelics like Toad Venom to give them the “out-of-body experience”.
"Toad venom" is not AT ALL necessary to facilitate an out of body experience.
Out of body experiences are real.

The person can through the power of Jesus to heal the wounds of all types of abuse. Satan always uses wounds of abuse to open the person up to the occult. People who are drawn into the occult often have someone in their generations that already unknowingly opened the occult door even dedicating their lineage to Satan in some form.
The brain is designed to SAVE THE BODY first and foremost. So I feel that when we feel or see these things I feel our own consciousness somehow trying to protect the mind and body from shock. It's the hard drive for the system so it will do whatever it takes to give the body peace in any sort of it can set the system right again.

My own experiance was started due to being mad with god and christianity, i deliberately chose to look at the O.T.O and other Crowley material. I knew it was corrupt, and i wanted to be pure evil in direct rebellion to God. It wasnt me being decieved, i did this of my own volition.
There are hidden things to disover, albeit once you know it and see it, its permanent, you cant forget it. This can be like a curse.
Ill also note that i had been saved 4 years before i turned agaisnt God.. 12 years later i came back to Christ... who began to fully explain why this happened and how it could be tuned to honor God

When I read "Golden Dawn," my mind went to the movie _Die Hard_ when Hans includes among his list of demands the release of the imprisoned leaders of Asian Dawn.
I was a freemason for 2 years. Active like 4 nights a week, including with York and Scottish Rites. It was a joke. NOT mystical secrets. Mish-mash jibberish and huge HUGE ego building. I jest, but I've mentioned this to masons and they've told me "Oh, those aren't the symbols, other ones." I've asked them to name ONE thing women aren't smart enough to get and they can't.

That being said, there is obviously the freemasons, there is at least one different brand of OTO the lodge I know of is in Pasadena, there is the most popular rosicrucian group AMORC, Golden Dawn is up in Northern Ca, and I'm pretty sure Temple of Set is around.
With all these orgs, these are just the biggest ones. There is small off shoots of all these and all kinda weird groups to join. Gnostic Socity in LA has lectures by the guy rumored to kill Manly P. Hall.

I think that's because these beliefs have been promulgated by the higher degrees of Freemasonry for centuries, and Joseph Smith's family were Freemasons for several generations, with Joseph having been initiated before he left to start his own cult.
I have come to the reality of Christ and the plan of Salvation. But here is the thing. The World is full of God’s children and there are many religions and viewpoints. Does God somehow implement only one true brand of Christianity in one particular Christian view point and some how we are all supposed to find and believe in what pastor Bob’s salvation bible church in Oklahoma says about how we all have to believe? The Roman Catholic Church has a 2000 year history ( not all of it good ) but I respect their right to worship, I can say the same thing about the Protestants , or the Presbyterians , or the Mormons or the Seventh day adventists or the Buddhists, or the Hindu’s or Muslims, or any one else for that matter.
