29:00 I think the creator might deliberately showed the thwomp to trigger players hold right beforehand so that the spikes of the next room can get them. If they are careless and miss that the doors are not connected actually, they die.
I think that last level was made to troll with Ryu. Ryu is always looking for cheese, and it takes you on a nice long diffrent exit quest if you go the cheese route. Where as the no cheese route ends it quick.

i havent owned a nintendo console since the gamecube but after watching quite a few of these vids i'm extremely tempted to pick up a switch and mario maker 2. even though i havent played it, it's obvious that it has unlimited replay value.
The hidden context of the gf level is that doing the level the long way with all the trolls is like arguing with the gf. Meanwhile just going over the top of the level is the quick, easy, and painless way is just agreeing with the gf even if you are wrong

Why not spice it up and make a 10 episode series where you attempt learning one of the harder Mario Maker levels out there not something like Magnum Opus or one of the levels that would take months to master but one that would be a good challenge like an 8-10.
All you have to do is find the P switch, his it just right, and then you go straight to the happy ending. That was clearly cheese though because if the dev knew about it, his GF wouldn't wouldn't whine so much.
