I am a returning lifetime player to sto. I have been trying to remember for the life of me of what all the dailies that I did prior to leaving. This tour of duty videos outstanding and thank you for putting it together. Now I just need to remember what else I did back then.
It's August 2024 and I just completed all of the Beta Qaudrant and most of the Alpha quadrant with your help! Ok, techincally it was the second attempt because I completely flubbed the first time. And I did spend a good few minutes trying to orient myself in this run. But I as I got within one system of finishing the Beta quadrant, I think I did pretty good! But the Naussican mocked me. I was using my Legendary Bortasqu. Not that it really matters, I just love that ship. Thank you!
Hi. First thank you for another great video. I have few tips, On build with Vesta consoles I would use Omega Force Hyper-Impulse Engines, because they gave 100% recharge time reduction to Slipstream Drive and with that and Gamma Warp/Sing core (where Slipstream drive recharges 100% faster) so I have only 40 seconds cooldown for slipstream instead of 1 min. Next tip depends on anyones map transfer loading times. Before using transwarp turn off slipstream. If you use transwarp with active slipstream, then cooldown start counting after map transfer which is waste of time. On my PC loading new map takes me around 20s, so if I turn it off before transwarp, I have only 20s left before I can use slipstream again. You can see diference in this Stu's video. In 15:00 he transwarp to Gamma quadrant with active slipstream and in 16:47 he transwarp to Delta quadrant without active slipstream and he saved 10s from cooldown.
As an old player just returning. I just see months of work to solve the problem I have right now. I have no money. I have no rep. My ship is a "T5 d'derirex retrofit" with out the upgrade. I don't get loot from patrols 99% of the time. I am already frustrated and annoyed that everything is so obtuse just to know what I should or shouldn't be doing to make money. Not to mention the game suggesting I should buy a $285 ship bundle but already knowing it won't perform any better than my current ship. I could buy multiple games for that much with a lot more enjoyment than some over priced pos bundle of mostly uselessness because you are buying ships for different characters. I am very frustrated and annoyed.
On my Lexington DC I get 95 TW speed and a 10 sec cooldown, on my Multi-Mission Explorer I get 104 TW speed and a 40 sec cooldown. I like using the Lexington so I can stay on one ship and use your FAW build and the TotG loadouts. All thanks to you man - u da photon bomb. Many thanks.
For me at least, the 'Delta Flight' mission is in the Iconian War arc not the Delta Quadrant arc. If anyone is having trouble finding that mission try looking under the Iconian War arc, it should be the 3rd mission.
Great video - I appreciate seeing how you are doing the updated route! I think the Omega Force engines are a better choice for your MW-Cyclical (alternate) build. I find the extra slipstream cool down to be more valuable than the tiny bit of extra speed from the Adapted.
I am wondering, if you are stuck with the MW version of this build, do you recommend a different route? Something that maybe works better with the much more limited turn rate? I tried this for the first time today and couldn't actually get through all of them in the 15 minutes. Granted, my route was not great, but the MW turn rate is horribad. The Vesta build is awesome, but I, and I am sure many others are like me, feel that spending that much on a ship we have no real intent on using aside from this isn't something we can do. I can tell you for sure, some of the turns you made, I would almost have to U-turn in a MW ship to get to.
Thanks for the video, your route was an improvement over what I was using & the transwarp tip help. I prefer “spoils of war” over “cold case” because it put me far enough away to get credit versus directly on top, and I have to move to get credit. One noteworthy item I think it’s funny that after your video, the price of leadfoot went up double or triple currently 85 million on the exchange.
I was afraid that could happen. Us STO youtubers occasionally have unintended effects on the exchange economy. We don't mean for it to happen, but that what happens when a bunch of people suddenly find use in something, demand goes up, and so does price.
Hi mate got the terran lex dreadnought miracle worker, omega impulse, gamma synergistic plus polaric, but this thing can't turn at all can't even finish alpha and beta because it has turn rate in slipstream 4.9 any idea how to improve it pls
For the MW-Cyclical (alternate) build in gagarin and inquiry, I tried both engines, maco[Turn][SecSpd-2] and adapted[SecSpd][SecSpd-2], both in epic version, plus the components, gamma core and polaric modulator, both in epic version, also with their klingon counterpart. they have no difference in the maximum warp factor (+31.9 starship sector speed), so the additional modifier [SecSpd] of the adapted version is not reflected, the sector speed is the same with both engines (58.41/25.32) even the recharge time or turn rate seem identical, I think the normal maco version is the same with the engine adapted by the characteristic: (Maximum Asynchronous Warp Factor 21.57 in epic version), which it shares with the assimilated borg engine. I don't know if with the multi-mission explorer ships or with other Miracle workers there will be a difference with the maco or adapted maco engines, although it may be a bug or that I am making a mistake Notable benefit of the normal MACO engine: it has a visual effect around the ship when moving in sector space, a very cool effect.
So I only managed to get a Miracle Worker ship now, and I must say, the non-existent turn rate is killing me. Even at a dead stop, my ship turns like a mule cart while the slipstream is active. Should I rather disengage the slip stream when a turn comes up?
FYI. if you have a friend with both Fed and KDF toons with level 3/4 Diplomacy/Marauding. Both buffs can be applies to the same ship. Im not 100%, that they stack. However, you do get both buff icons on your buff bar.
The "Perform Antimatter Containment Leak Drills" assignment takes three hours to complete and the boost only lasts two hours. So you have to plan your tour the galaxy around that.
Gentle correction. Delta Flight is an episode in the Iconian war arc, not Delta Quadrant. Thank you as always for your insightful and helpful content, Stu. You're a godsend.
PSA for Klingon Characters: Edit: This may only matter if not upgrading to Epic Do NOT make the Adapted KHG engine by mistake. It is the NON adapted version that has the sector speed buffs
And now the Protostar blows the doors off this whole build. Just having the Gamma warp core on that ship gives you transwarp speeds up in the 200’s for a minute and a half with a 15 second cool down (30 seconds if you drop out of protowarp early). Efficient routes be damned, that little ship completes this within five minutes regardless. Edit: So from corner to corner, I’m able to cross the entirety of the beta quadrant in about 23 seconds.
I just found out about the changes after being gone from sto for over a year. Thanks the tips. Unfortunately they made the TOTG now unplayable for budget builds like the risa cruiser which i have and need to do some major changes. Could barely get the original done with under a minute to spare.
Not sure you'll see this as I'm coming in late, but am I correct in assuming the Vesta console set bonus does not apply to the Odyssey's Advanced Slipstream Drive?
I got the adapted maco combat impulse engines and upgraded to epic, but didn’t get the 3x sector speed. I only got 1 at 10.6 sector speed. Any thoughts?
The Dauntless gets the Hyper-Advanced Quantum Slipstream. Based on what I read on the wiki, it has a better turn rate and speed compared to the stand slipstream, but still not as good as the Chroniton Integrated slipstream you get from the Vesta 2-piece. However, I have not been able to test it as I don't own the Dauntless.
@@short72hp1 That's correct. The Caelian is the Legendary Vesta basically and has all the consoles that can be found on any variant of the Vesta line of ships. You should have those consoles if you own the Caelian, the exception would be the Engines and Warp Core which are reputation items and the polaric modulator which comes from a mission reward in the Iconian Arc.
Thanks for the vid help me out a lot, but one thing I would like to know how did you get your transwarp to last as long as it does, mine tends to pitter out just after Drozana Station.
I always thought the lego voyager trait gave you max speed at in it couldn't be buffed more at its 72 speed. I use that trait and the gagarin on fresh alts for mild success. Gagarin got a slipstream really long for some reason almost off cd when it runs off. I only manage to get alpha and beta done though Ill have to try these teleport tips.
Are you talking about the Dautless? I know that has a special slipstream of it own in STO. I has a very high turn rate, but I dont think it's as fast as the Croniton Integrated slipstream that the Vesta console give, though I can't confirm this for sure because I don't own the Dauntless so I wasn't able to test it.
How so? It doesn't have any passives that improve your sector space speed. It only reduces the cooldown of your transwarp and give you access to more locations, but even with the 50% cooldown you won't get much use out of that. Using episodes as transwarp short cuts is far more reliable because there's no cooldown.
On the set up with the two Vesta consoles I was able to get to Transwarp 115.64. On the Miracle Worker ship set up, Transwarp 106. And that's without Diplomatic Immunity, Raiding Party, and a crit on doff mission.
You can do this as a free to play player. You won't have access to all the traits, but you should be able to though at least most of it. But definitely not at level 3. Keep playing episodes, they're good for leveling.

While I don't do ToG, I do love being stupid fast in Sector Space. I actually forgot that 2-piece was unlocked. Good video bro!

If you transwarp using the Partisans mission in the Klingon Civil War, it starts you right where he starts!
Excellent! Don't forget about Doffs that help!
Finished TtG a few nights ago (after getting the Equinox’s ST added) with 5:31 left on the clock.
Awesome video! Been wanting a guide on this for a bit now since the changes. 🖖🏼

I like the maco engines, I get about warp 35 in sector space without any slipstream
Nice guide! Convenient that it ends at Argala too, might as well run Wanted while you're there for the daily patrol dil bonus.
Thanks for this. All hail the top hat!
do you NEED the vesta ship or can this work on any miracle ship? I have the miracle worker flight deck carrier and it turns like a pig

How do you get such a good turn rate? I have the same build and it takes wide angle turns and wastes time.
I got the adapted maco combat impulse engines and upgraded to epic, but didn’t get the 3x sector speed. I only got 1 at 10.6 sector speed. Any thoughts?
reall enjoyed this education , ta x
Cant get the Lexi to be THAT manoeuvrable. Altough the Slipstream becomes usable almost inmediatly. Can complete 2 whole sectors and thats it
Damn thats fast!
Thank you for the video
I feel like I remember the Dauntless class getting some kind of slipstream bonus. Does it? (And how does it play with the Vesta consoles?) 🤔

No vanity shield, that's just what the Vesta looks like.

thank you for this.
there is an astro sci DOFF that will help with the Slipstream cooldown. The Very Rare as you can imagine is pricey though

Doesn't make a difference in sector space
