Thank you it's good you are enjoying my vids and polymer clay! I tend to bake all my stuff attached to the glass it would be way to hard to try and maintain its shape without it. Just make sure if you are baking on glass to put it into a cold oven you don't want to shock the glass with rapid temperature changes it will shatter so make sure it's a cold oven going in and a cool oven coming out 💜
I know this is 2 years later but you're sculpting is amazing. Just wanted to tell you. I'm just getting into sculpting with polymer clay myself on Monster cans lol I usually do art with watercolor but I've grown bored of it.
Hey are you finding the cosclay ok to use? I made 3 rats tails with wire armature for my art dolls, they broke when I bent them slightly. Maybe its just me. Well that's just amazing, what does your mother think of her teapot now?
I haven't had any issue with the cosclay but I do think it has everything to do with baking time and temperature I have seen a few people that have had problems and the only thing I can think of that might be different is I use a fan assisted oven so it keeps a steady temperature it could also be the wire that caused it to snap you might haveade it to rigid I would experiment until you are happy ..... my mum loves the teapot lol
I bake for about 20 minutes on each bake except the final bake then I put it in for about 30 minutes just to make sure everything is cured properly. Glad you enjoyed!

Beautiful work.. I absolutely love it! My question is.. Can this still be used as a fully functional tea pot?
You could still use it as a teapot but I don't think I would want too, not because it isn't safe more because I would worry about damaging it

Why didn't you use color polymer clay instead of painting over it?
It's just my preferred method I enjoy painting I'm not so good with coloured clay there's a lot of hand cleaning in between colours 😂
