    Sweet pick-ups! Bullion Exchanges delivers to your place in one week!!!! I'm in Montana, and it takes 16 days, on average, to arrive after I order. I'm going to try Vermillion for the first time in the coming week. I'm starting my second monster box. Thanks for the videos.

    I said I wasn't gonna replace some Eagles I recently sold in the $30s but I got drunk 2 weeks ago and ordered 340 from Brian down in Spring Hill. I thought $28 was a good price. I really shouldn't be drinking because I always make larger purchases when I do. But I had to check a few tubes to see if mine were damaged and the ones I looked at were not although I have to be honest when I say I am not happy with the strike of these coins compared to earlier years. I honestly think the quality of the newer ones has gone down. So, these will be the first ones I sell when the time comes to make a sale. Take care.

      Brian is awesome. But this time I was able to beat his price. I see he has raised the premium back to 4.50 now. Still a good deal tho.

    What causes milk spotting, tarnishing, and toning? Oxygen, humidity, heat, or a combination?

    • @losinglouie
      @losinglouie  ปีที่แล้ว

      tarnish is caused by exposure to air and/or humidity. It can be easily prevented, and removed. Mild spots are insidious little imperfections created in a faulty manufacturing process where solvents are improperly removed. There is no cure for that, and they can appear even in sealed environments, even in coin slabs, and even after months. Worst offenders are the royal mint, Perth kangaroos, britannias, and older maples.

    • @Threedog1963
      @Threedog1963 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@losinglouie my LCS warned against removing toning. Said if it’s detected it will lower the premium more than the toning. He also mentioned some people really like toning. I don’t. I want my coins as close to mint state as possible.

    • @losinglouie
      @losinglouie  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It’s a great question. I’m not sure what the etiquette is on sealed ASE’s

    • @mikhailkalashnikov4599
      @mikhailkalashnikov4599 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@losinglouie The etiquette is the same as any other business transaction- seller presents the goods for inspection, the buyer verifies and ponies up the cash and counts it out. Have you ever been involved in buying/selling metals in a private transaction or just online?

  • @ozziman1821
    @ozziman1821 10 หลายเดือนก่อน

    New to stacking here sorry if this is a dumb question but why shouldn’t you touch your silver with bare hands ?

    • @losinglouie
      @losinglouie  10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Well, the acid from your hands will eventually cause tarnish on the coins. When you go to sell, the coin shop will look at your coins and pay you less if they look crummy. So, just buy a pair of cotton gloves if you want to handle them.

      I suspect it’s some kind of an aftermarket tube.

  • @usptact

    The reason they say your silver tubes (or monster box) loses value when you open it, it is because of the flaws that will be discovered. :)
    Twist the cap by 1/8 any direction and then lift the cap by one of the exposed corners.

  • @jayman1601

    I hate those ASE tubes. Every other mint has a tab on the corner so you can open them.

    • @meteoman7958
      @meteoman7958 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    I would open them all, put the toned in the same tube, and see if you can exchange that tube. At the very least store them in their own tube. I recently had to send a new Peace uncirculated back for refund due to a scratch on the reverse. Bummer, I had only bought one of each. It is a pain, but worth the hassle if the toning is going to bother you down the road. Cheers!

    Like button tickled. I've always been the precious metals guy in my family, so always get everyones inherited jewelry, watches etc to appraise and repair (hobby jeweler). Or keep... which is nice. I've got boxes of gold rings, and broken silver chains and all kinds of things lol. I love that watch, beautiful engraving! I'm still working on a junk silver goal, since the prices have dropped and picked up some of the new Zombucks World Kooks. The "Kook" coin is awesome... way cooler than the Panda. Hi Louie. I remember recently that you talked about the potential danger for TH-cam silver stacking channel hosts who show their face or say their name. Silver Slayer, who shows his face, had his home broken into. They have already made at least 2 other attempts, but he was home. Fortunately, he had removed all his precious metals from his safe. They knew him! They took the whole safe! He's definitely recognizable in the neighborhood as owning a substantial amount of precious metals. You are absolutely correct. Even if you don't state your name, your are very recognized and word gets around. Wherever he is, people will know about him.

    Thinking a unopened tubes of eagles being more desired are only a retail stackers fantasy. If you go to sell, who is not verify whats in each tube before paying? No coin store or stacker in his right mind. A sticker is no guarantee that someone did not tamper with whats inside.

The ASE I got last, the one with the Milk Spot that says "I NO" in Milk, $23.50. I am so not impressed with ASE. I'm going back to buying Morgan Silver Dollars.

    I have had a pretty good run at bullion exchange until I started buying the Australian Roo’s with the queen on it for 2023! Some of them had scuff marks on it, and within one months time they have all clouded over with milk spotting! I am so disgusted because I spend half my paycheck every week to buy gold and silver. And to have your investment milk spots so fast devaluing your investments is utterly disgusting. They said that they will take them back, but it will cost me to ship them back to them and have them appraised them. I will lose money on the purchase on the devaluation and on the return! I have since switched to Monument Metals and First Majestic. Monument Metals has been good to me. If I have a problem, they take care of it right away and they call to see if you are satisfied. First Majestic is mine direct to the public. They are the only ones doing the cutting out the middleman, and their prices are fair.🤢🤮😤😡🇺🇸🤔🤔🤔🤔

    • @losinglouie
      @losinglouie  ปีที่แล้ว

      I think the kangaroos are a value trap. They seem like a good deal, then you notice the quality. Britannias are in the same camp due to the spotting. Too bad you don't pour silver. I would melt them and make pretty bars or such. B.E. is gonna pay you under spot. Might as well take them to an LCS nearby. I like monument too. And at least with F.M you get something with some collector value. Have a great weekend.
