Denice Rader - Hi Denice, I buy my bones from US wellness meats. Go to my “Shopping Guide” on my website “MarysNest DOT com”. The link and the discount coupon code are over there. I would put the information here in the comment section but TH-cam may view it as spam and then you would not see it. So just head on over to my website and you’ll be all set. Love, Mary

Love watching Mary. She has a mixture of old fashioned recipes and modernity. Reminds me of my grand mothers cooking. All her sons reached well past the 90 mark. Alas my mother smoked and only reached the eighties. I am 86, cooking the old fashioned way, do not buy from fast food outlets and am trying to get as old as my uncles. Hopefully. dementia will not get me first.

I didn't know that Rosemary could taste soapy. I use a LOT of Rosemary in a lot of dishes I make because it passes the blood-brain barrier and is anti-Alzheimer's. Several spices pass the blood-brain barrier and I use all of them.

When I made vegteable broth, I dry the cooked/used vegetable in my Dehydrator for 2 days, crunch then the dried vegetable in a blender and use it for sauces and soups. It's really put amazing flavor to the sauces and soups, but just remove the bay leaves before drying the vegetables.

Wish I had seen this earlier, your method is superior.
What I’ve been doing to make life a little easier is to mix my favorite dry ingredients together in a mason jar. It has many of your fresh items plus a few items like nutritional yeast, cream of tartar, reishi mushroom powder, cayenne pepper or whatever I’m in the mood for. Then after heating up my broth in my favorite big mug, I simply add a spoonful and hit that sucker with a stick blender! It usually comes out creamy/frothy & always yummy.
I feel SO much better after adding this to my daily routine. You are certainly the biggest influence of putting me on the path to enjoying the benefits of BB. 💕 Cheers!

Thanks for the bone broth video. I love Keto recipes because I had severe joint pain for years. Within a few days of starting a keto carnivore diet all my joint pain went away. Then a year ago I tried the vegan/McDougall herbivore diet the pain immediately came back twofold. So I decided to go 100% raw and that didn't help whatsoever unfortunately. I did give the vegan diet a month, the starch diet a month and the raw diet only lasted two weeks as the pain was intolerable. My doctor asked what diet changes did I make because not only did my pain suddenly return but I gained almost 15 pounds or a little more than a stone. My doctor advised me to go back to the keto diet so I did and the pain was totally gone in just a few days and within a few months I was back to my healthy weight of 165 pounds or just under 12 stones. So the way I see it, some diets/lifestyles work better for some and other diets may be better for others. Just depends I guess.

commando602 - Thank you so much for visiting and thank you so much for sharing your story! It was so interesting. I don’t follow a keto diet all the time but I am thinking that it is something very healthy and something I need to look into more. Overall I really like traditional “nutrient dense“ cooking. It has served me very well. And there is a focus on the fat similar to Keto. BTW... Good morning, so wonderful to watch your videos, just found you recently. Trying to watch and rewatch everything. Haven't seen all yet, but working on it. I have discovered a few facts about collagen. It is a protein, which means you might need more fibre to compensate. It can also increase your appetite. I find an apple cider vinegar drink will decrease your appetite. It can also work on me, I tend to overeat, even when full. But don't drink more than 1 tablespoon of acv per large glass. I use Stevie, a little lemon and some ginger in cold green tea. Green tea has many health benefits as do the other ingredients.
I don't have any jars to freeze the broth, what about plastic containers? Thank you for everything you do, and God bless you and your family.

Thank you so much for this video. I have made bone broth three ways, on the stove in a crockpot, and in an Insta pot. I do not like the Insta pot because it makes any meat rubbery though you can get a really good broth out of it I ruined a whole package of oxtails, which is my favorite meat by doing it in an Insta pot The best way to make bone broth in my opinion is a 30 hour cook either in a slow cooker or on the stove! Everything is scrumptious, and the texture is wonderful for the meat. Thanks for the keto recipe.

I accidentally made a super gelatinous bone broth the other week. Was making pig ear (for pig ear sandwiches) and added pig tail and neckbone to the crockpot (plus veggies and herbs "kitchen sink" lol)
Strained everything and put broth in fridge. A few days later I decided to make a soup and the chilled broth was so thick. I heated it up added more veggie and some noodles and little bit of sausage. Told my son better eat it before it gets cold, cuz it will turn into a jello hockey puck! Was delish!
I'm a newbie to all this and will definitely try the beef!
Thank you for sharing your knowledge!! You're the best! ❤
(P.S. I would also like to be put on the waiting list to be adopted!😂😂)
