I’m a Scorpio with my co-ruler Kethu in the 8th House. My 8th house lord Mercury (Pushkara Navāmsha and Yōgathāra) is in the 10th house with Jupiter in Māgha (with a Sukshama parivarthan with Kethu). I’m almost at the end of my kethu mahdasha and good lord! let me tell you EK Dhilip Kumar ji is correct when he says “either the man dies and Kethu in ashtam bhava survives or the man survives Kethu and the Venus mahadhasha begins” 🥹😅 depression, addictions, suicide attempts 😭 I’m waiting for my Atmakārak Venus in the 9th to get activated soon.
and you are correct when you say mantras, meditation, scriptural education and spirituality is the way to survive a Kethu in ashtam bhava mahadasha.
Just began Ketu Mahadasha and I've been inclined to learn astrology. I don't know what will be with me as Mercury Mahadasha was what they described Ketu Mahadasha to be. Will it be worse, I don't know, or better, or I'll use the experience for Ketu Mahadasha, I don't know.

Im 2-3 years into the mercury mahadasha who is lord of 9th, 12th, and atmakaraka. Saturn mahadasha was very eventful to say the least. Also undergoing peak sade sati and saturn is my amatyakaraka. Got redundant and father passed away suddenly last year, but was at peace through it all. Learnt a lot of astrology over last couple of years to understand my situation and it was helpful to put things in perspective. Currently setting up my business for past one year so that i can have more freedom and spend more time on spiritual sadhana. I have worked very hard without breaks or anything to show for 11 months. Im still at peace and feel im at the cusp of my business being sucessful and sadhana coming to fruitation. I recognise that astrology's key role is to support a path towards realisation, and ultimately itself gets transcended.

I'm leo ascendant so i consider my mars to good as it is also placed in good house and freindly to ascendant...but my mars mahadasha gave setbacks i never ever imagined...and that's the exact time i started Hanuman chalisa...and now hanumanji is everything for me ..

Its resonated somuch Sir, cancer Ascendent Jupiter dasha in 8th house its also the ninth lord for the first 7 years of the dasha were stagnant, it got activated from juputer ketu dasha now running juputer venus dasha, venus is my atmakaraka, its too much, the spiritual transformation is forced on me by outside conditions to maintain my inner balance, previously i felt uneasy not happy from core but now, aquaring spiritual knowledge has become like addiction for me, its like breathing for me. Any planets in these houses will need to be considered.
1- Dasha of your Lagna/Ascendant Lord. Gives you an area to focus in life where the lagna lord is placed(house). Important
2-Dasha of 10th house-tells you what your purpose is in your life. The most important Dasha, karma you need to face that allows you to take responsibility.
3- Dasha of your AK planet (aatmakaaraka-planet with highest degree). (If venus- can make relationships or destroys them, you may need to learn venus ruled things) The AK planets tells us what you have identified with in previous lives that carry out into this life. You are doing it out of free will.
4- Dasha of 9th House/or Lord- most important of the houses. The highest in spiritual sense. Connects you to God. Can give a spiritual community that can change your purpose in life. It can awards you which no other house can do. Connects to divine.
5- Dasha of the 8th house- planets in the 8th or lord of the house- allows you to be introspective about your weakness and blunders. Forces you to take responsibility. You NEED to do something spiritual as 9th is 2nd from 8th.
