In Cartagena,we try to make a fusion about our past and the modern technology,without losing our essence as an spanish city and respecting the main areas of tourism.I recommend to visit us in spring and summer,specially between april and may,and of course after september 15th to enjoy the greatest party of the city "Carthaginians and romans" to see our citizens dressed like in the ancient Roman Empire and participate in historical events we do along 15 days in the second half of september.Otherwise,we enjoy of a nice weather during all the year for our privileged situation in the map of Spain:we are surrounded by 5 mountains wich protect us from most of the rains,but we receive in exchange a subtropical wearher,it means 85% wetness in the air,you will sweat a lot!!i hope you all enjoyed my city. Typical meals from Cartagena: ASIATICO:a drink made by cinnamon,licor 43,lemon,cafe and milk. CALDERO:also called "the paella of the fishermen".Is like a paella but flavoured with fish and "ali-oli" wich is a garlic sauce mixed with olive oil from catalonian origin. BIENMESABE:This is a kind of fish of the family of sharks we fish here.Is just the meat in "adobo" fried and served. MICHIRONES:This is a regional food based in dried giant beans with a big ham bone,potatos,an spicy touch and strong taste of meat.Totally recommended.
