Nice review..so in summary : hify 3.0 responsiveness and pop in smaller waves, carbotune lightness and performance medium size waves, pu consistency on choppy or bigger conditions, right?
Hey Sergio Thanks for that, yep you’ve nailed it, you’ll get the pop and liveliness with epoxy and carbotune in medium to small waves better than a traditional PU However if conditions tend to be a bit choppier and bigger the PU will tend to be more reliable. In saying that everyone has their own preference with board material so its just a matter of finding what works well for you
Ollie did the below review which was for HyFi 2.0 but gives a good breakdown (HyFi 3.0 will just feel slightly closer to carbon than HyFi 2.0 but still more flex) Thansk, Tim th-cam.com/video/9t8cdLA4qW0/w-d-xo.html
Ripping, and that dual pad is sick (and I don’t even use pads haha). Thanks for the video and explanations.
Would you say the hyfi 3 will still do well in choppy conditions ?
Yep it handles chop well! I think because its a better weight for bump than the other constructions
Thanks, Ollie
