Thanks for sharing this balanced point of view. I couldn't agree more. Anyone passioned about sorare is already spending a lot of time in research, trading and everything else. A change like this is not needed
Keep it as it is. Everyone is currently affected by DNPs in the exact same way. To solve the problem, just introduce a new mode like the NBA Daily Contests where there are rolling locks if you want, but leave the core gameplay alone. Then the users who want to be connected to their lineups 24/7 can do so.
I realised yesterday the main problem with rolling locks would be that you could sort of guarantee 1 lineup would have high scores. Say you’ve got 3 lineups in PL. and you’ve got 3 different GK and CB partnerships that play on Saturday. At least 1 pair you would think would have got a clean sheet. So then if Liverpool and City both have a good match up on the Sunday you could put Salah, Trent and KDB into that lineup when with the current system you may have had them in one of your others which didn’t keep a clean sheet.
@@kieranhunter10 yeah it’s one reason, like you just put a 0 score player in a line up, wait to see which one is doing well, then replace him with a smasher for whichever team has the highest score going into the final game. There are ways to stop it but it complicates rolling locks which is another reason it’s not fit for sorare
I saw one DNP "solution" i really liked on twitter. Instead of rolling locks and late swap nonsense you could have an amount of subs (3 would cover every position). But, crucially they would have to be L15 >45 or something like that. It would greatly reduce the negative impact of getting an unforseen DNP, while not being exploitable, as the subs would have to fit within the rules of SO5 (1 per position + extra). This is the only idea i've heard that's any good. Edit: You mentioned it at the end.. oops
One reason is it could be abused without strict rules. For example, I could play 4 smasher outfielders, and a goalkeeper I knew was gonna DNP. And then I have a smasher as the sub. So I get 5 amazing players in one lineup with no keeper. So then the question becomes do you get 1 sub per position? Or the sub gets reduced points? I do think it’s a viable option but not as black and white as it seems.
I was just thinking. Purely just one sub (non gk). This adds utility + randomness/tactical balance. I am seriously curious why more complex gameplays are every discussed
With the direction that big football teams are heading to, with playing with a 20 man squad with rotation, could something like a one week GW work that includes a best ball rule? Perhaps the US market would be more comfortable with that
@@Ruscococo1yep, like NBA. You could also consider MLB style where points are totalled in a week long GW. That way rotational players still could score while clear first teamers/stars could score more as a differential.
Subs, in any form! 🙏 DNP is the most frustrating thing by far. I play stacks in Europa League, that means Thursday and Sunday games… way too much gambling.
rolling lock only benefits whales and someone who can dedicate his 24/7 to it. With mls and summer leagues coming back you almost have dedicate every min of your time
@@slbpriank91 yeah and the annoyance of missing being able to change a line up is equal to the annoyance of having an unknown DNP. At least with a DNP you know it wasn’t your fault, whereas with locks ….
I set around 60 line ups out on average and I get hit with DNPs left right and centre.. hoorah!! Stop trying to change the game to go in certain people's favour.. GW 🔒 in 👍
imagine rolling locks for the MLS. Europe is not sleeping on weekends and that would be horrible
Yeah I agree
Unless you hate sleep 😂
i hate this rolling lock thing. rather have a few dnps per gameweek then having to follow changing deadlines every freakin day.
@@Fjrpo yup in short, that’s the biggest issue, makes it more like a job than a game

Yep I can’t commit any more time than I do, it’s hard enough but I know in my head I have two deadlines each week. I don’t need 20 😂
Yeah well worded 👌
I would prefer not having rolling locks, as a European that plays MLS I would be at a great disadvantage since I'd be asleep during many of the games
Yeah I just purchased some MLS cards, they would be instantly dumped back onto the market with a change like locks

Hahahah yeah was a much better solution, I agree less with needing to keep a strict formation but that’s a small detail
@ if you don’t need to keep position it can quickly become very exploitable. For example picking a DNP forward and subbing in a mid/def
I am not sure why not just let us have a 6th slot each lineup - 'sub'. Wont that be a simpler solution with more card utility?
That's the only good solution.

Bingo. I don’t think per position matters too much, maybe just 1 GK sub and 1 outfield sub but that’s a lot of cards to add also

@@RepublicOfButter agreed only thing would be that sub would need a cap limit otherwise its OP for whales
Whats next..if a player gets injured during the game sorare should send the sorare managers a lolipop to deal with the hardship?
I would be running 5 DNP lineups for 5 lollipops. How’s that for exploitation

Just 1 sub would be perfect voor all players except goalkeeper. Easy solutions. This would get prices higher because you 'need' more players
Yeah agreed, people would just complain when their keeper DNPs
