You are right, 3 rotor engine sounds similar to 3 cylinder 2 stroke Wartburg engine. Your hearing is very good. I like engines with 3, 5 or 6 cylinders :-)

With 3 independent exhaust, one cylinder, each with an expansion chamber, a lot of power would be gained

Thank you so much. I can get Formula Vee car and replace VW motor with Wartburg. Do you use 353 gearbox in your car?

exactly! Best sounding engines are 3,5,6 or maybe 12 cylinder(/rotor) :)

Reminds me of the Quantum DKW F-C car I got to test at PBIR, 1972.
Had an ex-F Jr. DKW engine, with further tuning.
HAd been a Quantum Formula S SAAB a few year previous.
A $1000 School Car with a nice box trailer, worth almost that.
But our newspaper, Florida Racing News was already on life support.
The oil crisis of '73 put paid to our dreams.

Nice comment :-). Thank you!... It's remarkable how was the potencial of a simple DKW conception exhausted during history. I think that the East Germany's Wartburg 353W and Melkus were the top (and the last) derivatives in a serial production.
P.S.: What does it mean "PBIR"?

miniprog Palm Beach International Raceway, Florida.
The most mosquito bitten venue on earth.
WORSE than Daytona in September, for the Paul Whiteman Races..
      Another Mosquito Fest
PBIR was/is netween West Palm Beach and the SWAMP!
Was SUPPOSED to replace Sebring Airport for the 12 Hours.
About 1973… or so was the rumor… a GHASTLY idea.. Alec Ulman….
Malaria would have re-emerged, for sure.
We had a Mini go off into the pond inside one turn there.
Driver sat on it top until rescued.
We had some SCCA Regionals there.
      AMA motorcycles…..
My cousin raced his Ducati Diana there, NEEDED his leathers!
      Maybe Kevlar...
A nice course to DRIVE… then go some place else to live...
I also did some test runs at the airport in the car,
AFTER the last Eastern Electra left for the night…
      Nice taxiways, with crossovers….
      Fewer mosquitos...
The DKW came on at about 6-7 Thou…
      BAM! in the butt!
Spun her good, missing a gear..
      No harm done….
Pop was a retired Eastern Airlines exec….
      Loved two strokers and Wankels.
Jets.. Had a SAAB 92 engine on his bench….
      He like skinny tires..
      HA!

SAAB Quantum was a series of 5 SAAB cars built in the USA. The earliest cars used Saab 93 two-stroke engines, transmissions and suspension. The later cars used Saab 96 drivetrains and suspension parts.
The Quantum I was built in 1959, with a chassis computer engineered by Walter Kern at IBM in his spare time. It wore only the most basic bodywork at first. After initial testing and a race or two, it was replaced with moderately more complete bodywork which it still wears to this day. The Quantum II was nearly identical in every way, though built later. Both Quantums I and II were raced in the SCCA H-Modified class. They were pure prototypes and racing cars, never intended for production.
The Quantum III was designed to be a production car and was first presented in 1962. Only a few copies were built. Due to a lack of quality it was turned down by Saab in Sweden and never went into production.
Quantum I (1959) - 1st iteration was with a very basic aluminum body. Second iteration of the bodywork was only slightly more finished. This is the version it wears today.
Quantum II - Nearly identical to the Quantum I in every way. Both use a water-cooled, three-cylinder Saab two-stroke engine.
Quantum III - Completely new design. Two built.
Quantum IV (1964) - Single seater formula car sold as a kit car.
Intended for Sports Car Club of America's (SCCA) "Formula S" series.
Quantum V (1965) - Ginetta body. Saab two-stroke engine and transmission. One built.
Of course it was a Quantum IV I drove.
About 50 kits were sold, most got built, or so I've read.
They turn up for sale in the racing press.
DKW powered one's are not unknown.
DKW F-Jr. engines considerable more so.
Formula S never really got going…. SAAB 93s were not as common here as VW Beatles…
      I used to tune a MonteCarlo 750S.
      My H.S. english teachers car...
The Quantum's chassis was only two BIG tubes you sat slung between.
Were also the cars fuel tanks..
      Felt safe as houses… TOUGH!
SAAB suspension and running gear.. wheels..
Reminded me of the 1962 BRM's body, roll bar forward..
Graham Hill was my great hero, 1962-1965 Formula.
There are quite a few IVs here on TH-cam
You can check up on my memory there…
I've never tracked down "my" car…
      No telling…..
      J.C.

if you use a expansion chamber for single cylinder, than 1 carburetor for single cylinder (for example 34-36mm)i think increase the power about more 20 30 hp

Yeah, but if the Quantum DKW I tested, was any example, it gets REAL peaky…
I spun her on the taxi-way cross overs at PB airport… not hitting any of the purple lights, thanking God.
      We were BROKE!
The Quantum had 5 speeds, only three synchronized… I was never quite sure WHICH three.
So I treated it as a pure crash box. There was no reverse…
We had a Lloyd with a Mercury outboard at the USF auto-crosses…
A Berkeley with another, in the REAR!
A DKW with pipes out the top….
Pop had a Lotus 7 DKW with a Devin Ferrari body.
      His pride and joy…
      A RX-3 Wankel in his old microbus…
The Quantum was one racer too many...
He was building a Lola T-70 with a helicopter turbine, last we knew…
Needed a part P&W would not sell him.
We hunted in the local boneyard for the thing…..Nada….
      Then the economy crashed…. OIL!!
But we at Florida Racing News had FUN, 1971 - 1972
I was Tech Ed… no PAY!
      Room & Board only…
Full run of Daytona, Sebring, PBIR, Lakeland raceways..
SOME St. Pete people from the auto-crosses formed IMSA.
      I lost interest.
The Sports Prototypes went away for Camel GT cars.
      1964 - 1972 was a good run…
      FORZA Ferrari!
