My home is surrounded by Bamboo jungle , but now it's getting neglected due to it's reduced utility ( before our home , fencing , furnitures , containers and even support of concrete roofing), but now all of them are replaced with other materials. During our childhood ,we used to sell bamboo 50 rs per piece ,now no one buys it. Even my home is now made pacca and so is fencing walls. Very soon we have to uproot all of them. Even large mangoes trees are being replaced with small grafted mangoes( small trees) , jaamun is mostly removed as it's said shouldn't be near homes . Neem trees are there, but no one is planting new one nor banyaan and peepal ( it's said , nothing grows under their shadows). I am from eastern (koshi) Bihar.
I remember truck loads of bamboos used to be transported out and ppl were investigating their time and money. Ppl's from certain families traditionally used to prepare variety of bamboo gagets, our chat pooja ( and other) still gives boost to Bamboo economy . Even our marriage ceremonies had lot's of bamboos utility.But now we are no longer Backward 😎. In our area Bamboo has become symbol of backwardness.... Bamboo house with grass roof was so comfortable, I still know how to make it, there used to be special grass ( we call it KHAD) grown with very good income is no longer available ( eradicated) . .. it's call kasaal ( Kaas ke phool). I have seen in garden parks of Saudi Arabia ( they happily and auspiciously plant it).

Peepal baba, I want to share something. I am from Chandigarh. Mai jaha bhi saplings plant krta hu chahe wo garden ho, parks ho ya schools ho log wo saplings ukhaad fenkte hai...jaise ek din mene plant kiya or next day usko watering krne gaya to wo waha se ukhada ja chuka hota hai..is sab se mujhe bohot bura lagta hai or initially to mujhe mentally effect bhi hota tha logo ki mentality ko dekh k...woh khud to laga nhi sakte trees or dusro ki mehnat ko bhi kharab kar dete hai.. mai is sab se kese deal kru sir... Please ap guide kriye.
tree guard lgana may be its out of budget for individual.
mere sath bhi esa hua hai, what I tried a solution is that, around the tree कांटो ki बाड़ (fencing) lga दो it will work and also a supporting bamboo or any wooden stick to it.
and finally I appreciate your work, keep it. I too make saplings and manure by composting at home.
