What an insightful interview 🌸 My sister (8) has started asking questions about race but using kids’ language and I want to her to learn about blackness in a way that she will understand. I want her to be affirmed as a black child and for her to know that she is loved by God and is enough. My family and I are intentional about growing her natural hair and teaching her to love herself in her most natural form. I sometimes wear weaves out of convenience- little did I know, in her mind, she thinks it’s because long, flowing hair is what makes me beautiful. She started wearing long towels on her head so that she could have “long, flowing hair.” We are 2 months into the journey and she asked us if my mom could plait her with wool. A week ago, she asked if we could do her a bun with her natural hair. This was an affirmation for us that we were on the right tract. I believe that this book will help us even more to educate her that she is enough and she is loved before she is anything else in this world. Absolutely loved this interview. Thank you for creating such amazing content.

Her journey reminds me of Dr Myles Munroe. Here foe a limited time, but to leave so much wisdom behind. She really was an Angel.
