I just love ❤this color palette, I need to find ask you to make one for me for a gift for a friend!
We enjoyed the "drizzler" beauty you create, Louise. Just like surgery, but keep me away from that guy! 🤣🤣Gorgeous Lazy Susan!
Thank you, 😘David and Kathy, it was the only surgery photo I could find that was an all relevant to what I was trying to show. Thank you again, the Drizzler!
This painting is very beautiful on the Lazy Susan. I love the colors for the bloom. Thede definitely would sell.
Thank you so so much🧡😘, Marlene, yes I do very well with these🧡
I am such a fan of your color palettes and teaching style.

Thanks so much 😊Anita, I truly appreciate your support 🧡🧡
Beautiful! You got this girl! ❤
thank you 🧡so much Vicky!😘
I just come up from my Utube feed, and there was jewelry boxes. Yours is more colorful in the way you blow the paint. The Lazy Susan looks more like a very colorful flower.
thank you so much 🧡Ozwald, this method is pretty sure fire or should I say sure blow! Thanks for sharing!😘
Pretty colors and the blooms,Ms Louise😍😍💜💜.Thank you for sharing your wonderful creations and guidance 💜💜😍😍
Thsnks so much 😘Sis, glad you enjoyed this, always appreciate you!🧡
Gorgeous as always!!!!! Love watching ur videos. Keep on trucking! 😀
Thank you again Sherri😘, I have a lot of videos to look at choose from. Make sure you check out my playlist that has them in categories.
That was one large lazy Susan you bloomed on. I have to say that in this one I liked how the “petals” overlap. There were some really great lines from it. ❤
thank you so much 🧡Kim, yeah and this palette is so soothing. Thanks!
Thank you for showing us how we can use minimal amount of paint. Its beautiful.
Thank you Elizabeth 😘for being here, I’ve seen way too. Many people lay down way too much paint, so it was a good opportunity to show it.!🧡
Beautiful Louise! My eyes lit up when I saw this. I’ve been doing these for a while too and you’re correct, we really don’t see ppl making Susan’s this way.
Thanks Kelli, 😘yeah I’ve made a bunch, all gone, but ppl don’t get the message. I can only toot so long, they are missing a big opportunity! Not our loss tho…
Yay Woohoo 🙌🏻
First here Louise Aunt to view 👍🏻 and comment 😊
Excellent start.
Watching now ❤
Wow, that was quick😅🧡😘
Absolutely beautiful and graceful as always, Louise.
Thank so much 😘Byron, I appreciate you sweetie!🧡
Another beauty! I totally agree with you, you don't see many people doing functional art. That is all that I do. You have been such an inspiration to me for over a year now. Took a peek at your website, looks great. Did a show this last weekend and sold 35 pieces. Thank you for ALL of your great instructional videos.
Thank you so much 😘M Boyle. And Congratulations, you broke the code! Yes, I’ve been doing functional art for almost 2 years ever since one of the stores downtown suggested I try and I went ahead and basically self taught myself at least with the trays and Lazy Susan’s. I’m quite stunned that more people don’t do this or at least are not showing that they’re doing this. And I don’t know what more to do besides tell people that it sells. I’ve sold every single piece of functional art I’ve ever created. If they can’t figure it out after that while it’s on them.
Woooow great sharing friend fully watched outstanding 👍
thank you 🧡so much Ronak!😘
Always beautiful dear Louise your fluid art , in this piece your using blower not more you blow . Love the combo colors

Louise, I love the color scheme you chose for this Lazy Susan 😊 and I am always listening for something I may have missed in any of your videos, that you said, that could lead me to being a better artist. I have a long way to go, but that is just the point of learning, to keep creating. Thanks for all your advice, as it comes in handy when I am having a "rough spot" and remember a time when you did too! Take care, and "Thanks so much" for sharing your talents! 🤗☺❣

I use banding wheels (turn tables) a lot in making pottery. Try placing some grippy shelf liner on top of your turn table to "grip" your work and hold it in place when spinning. ;-) works for me. Hope it will for you.
Thank you, great idea, 😘I probably need to get some. But in this case, I figured out my problem as I didn’t put any aluminum foil on the top of the wheel turntable, I like your idea.🧡
Louise, what a beautiful piece. Look at that shine and spread of colour. Congratulations for your classes sweet friend. You are going to rock it! 🎉
How much do Lazy Susan’s go for there? I’d love to see your clocks too. With your wonderful tips. Happy Wednesday ❤
Thank you so much, Marie-Louise. my pricing is based on the market, cost of materials, my time, how much it I feel it’s worth and the quality of the creation. Mostly, my sales lead to me able to create more and I have a really nice pull supply arrangement. You have to price your pieces based on all of those factors where you live. Obviously, it’s worth my while so I keep making more. Happy Wednesday
Beautiful!!!

Mahveluss!! Will you recognize me when you see me in DC? 😊
Of course I will 😘Priya, I only wish we had a little more time and Asheville seems like we’re both busy going in different directions!
I have been doing those for a couple of years and also get my turntables at IKEA, a,though I think they went up in price. They are not as good as yours though!
Thank you so much Karen, 🧡I’ve been doing this for almost 2 years, started out with some from Amazon that didn’t work out at all. I find IKEA’s are the best.
Hello Louise. Love your colour palettes. You have inspired me to to make these Lazy Susan’s. Hoping to paint again soon after a long break due to frozen shoulder.
What do you sell these for?
Greetings from Norway 🇳🇴
Hi Gretchen, 😘thank you so much, one of my favorite things to do is come up with some really cool color palettes. as far as how much I charge, I will leave that to you and your market in Norway, I’m sure Asheville, North Carolina is a very different pricing market than what you have. Price your pieces based on your material costs, your time and what’s worthwhile to you, and what you can get and feel good about getting where you are.🧡
Absolutely love this color combo and this blowout! Just perfect! Thank you. I have used primer on my Lazy Susan’s before I paint. May I ask which varnish you use?
Thank you Julie, 🧡😘primer works to have used both actually. I don’t use varnish. I use resin as my top coat. KS Resin I have it linked in my description, and I also have a discount code for it
I'm a glass artist but I play around with fluid art. I just started making these. I tape the bottom to prevent worry about clean up. I'm curious as to what resin you seal yours with. Your work is beautiful, by the way!!!
Hello Dee, 😘thank you for being here. I always tape and protect the bottom, if you want to see exactly what I do. I have a video 312 but I’ll link at the end that shows exactly what I do with the bottom and the entire process. I always use KS liquid stone resin I have a discount code in the description if you want to take a look, Here’s the link. th-cam.com/video/My7Tbj_D9U4/w-d-xo.htmlsi=RZQzkli0W6Z-IeQf
Wow! That’s so pretty! I keep watching yours be stunning, I bought 2 and am terrified. The lazy Suzan on top of the spinner is what freaks me out. I’ve had things spin off! This will be top heavy. Should I tape it down? I need help. 🥴😁
✌️💜😊
Your fine Dee, on the actual Lazy Susan you’ll be painting on, just tape the underside of the top to the bottom part of the lazy Susan so it can’t spin on the spinner…if that makes any sense. So only the spinner below all the spinning.
Remember, it’s only paint and if you don’t like it, you could scrape it off and clean it up and retry. You’ll be fine. Don’t be intimidated by the fact that it’s on a lazy Susan…
Beautiful, Louise! I wonder what would happen if you didn’t varnish first? Do you just use a spray varnish?
Hi Susan, thank you, I’ve showed this in one video. It’s 312 how I do it. I’ll link it below actually that video is it full tutorial. I do not spray varnish. I paint varnish with Minwax. If I don’t do that with either of varnish or a kills primer, The Lazy Susan top has warped on me. Here’s the link to 312. th-cam.com/video/My7Tbj_D9U4/w-d-xo.htmlsi=3qKTDtm9EQmRZiQ3
@@LouiseMcKayArt good to know! Thank you!
Louise I so appreciate your excellent tutorials. Thank you. I notice you often use Goldens QNAG in your colors but it was discontinued before I got into fluid art. Hence I've only seen it on you tube but not for real. When you run out of it what will you substitute? Do you know how to combine colors to make a facsimile? If so would you share that? I love your functional art!
Thank you Phyllis, if you go to Golden’s website search QNAG substitute and it’ll give you a facsimile or Tri-Art has one…I haven’t tried either yet
Thank you 🎉
Very pretty Louise! Was this made as a lazy susan, or to prep for a clock? I really love your colors in this pour as well, great work!
Thank you Tony🧡yes this was made as a Lazy Susan, I think I only made coasters with 🎨 this specific palette!
Thank you Louise for sharing your amazing creations. I've just got myself a lazy Susan to decorate. Could you tell me if you tape the back. And if so what do you use to keep the underneath clean for selling.
Hi Lyndy, thank you. So this tutorial is probably good 😊 for you to watch, it shows it all, yes I tape and cover the back, check this tutorial …th-cam.com/video/My7Tbj_D9U4/w-d-xo.htmlsi=Rn-bd8yupURZxJ0-
Good luck with yours!!
Thank you Louise. I have subscribed to your channel so I will catch up with your videos. Thank you for your tutorials you are so clear and precise.
@@Lyndy957 you bet, I try to keep everything is clear, understandable, concise and informative to make it worth your while, spending time with me.😊
Stunning as always, Louise. If I may ask, how much do you sell those for? If that’s too personal, I apologize. 😘
thank you 🧡so much Art My Heart I’d rather not say, you have to price based on your local market, how much you value your time, the quality and costs. For me… It’s worth my while, what is it worth to you?
I totally understand. 😉
Can these beautiful lazy-susans you make be used for foods?
Certainly, the KS resin I use is good safe
Hi Louise,
I think you’re artwork is stunningly beautiful by the way. I do have one question or a clarification for you, please You mention for your pouring medium that you use Glidden 833124 I’m sorry but I’m confused. Could you explain that to me please. I’m sure you’re very busy. I appreciate your time. Thank you so much.
Hi AndI and thank you, My pouring medium is Glidden 833124 mixed with Minwax varnish at a ratio of 3:1 Glidden:Minwax . And then mix my paint into my pouring medium at a ratio of between 2-3 parts PM: 1 part paint. I hope that helps. Don’t confuse the Glidden I using my pouring medium with the Glidden that I use for my pillow which is GLN6011 N. These are very different
Absolutely beautiful!!! How much do you sell these for?
@@pennikinkade9002 I’m frequently getting asked these questions and I do not answer what I sell my creations for because it’s based on this market here in Asheville, cost of my materials, the quality of my pieces, my time and what’s worth it to me. You have to find out, what your price point is given those factors where you are located.
@@LouiseMcKayArtunderstandable to a certain extent…I’m always very transparent because in the end we’re really all here in support of one another but I respect your stance on the matter. Thank you for responding! From one artist to another, your work is stunning!
@@pennikinkade9002 thanks. It’s really a personal question and I answer all questions as best I can, but my pricing is only good here in this market. Thank you for understanding.
Im brand new to this form of art. I dont know if I have the skill for this.
Hi Elizabeth, 😘well, watch some videos, mine and others’ and decide on a method you want to try, get done paint and just try! It’s alot of fun! Also I started 3 years ago after a military and manufacturing background
Do you let the Glidden thicken at all?
Actually, this time I didn’t do anything to it just took it straight out I can
@@LouiseMcKayArt I ask because the is so much thinner than the PPG multi pro which means after thin down my pouring medium a little bit or at least I think I do. The PPG multi pro air bubble thing had really messed me up.
@@fotojeny I agree, and you’re right, the pouring medium/paints, pillow and CA need to consistencies be in sync with each other and these paints were pretty fresh (meaning a tad thinner). I have usually preferred thicker, but this is working.
@@LouiseMcKayArt thank you!!
Qnag is discontinued, any suggestions?
Yes, Susan, I am aware QA is discontinued, but I have stockpiled😅 and at the rate I use paint. I’m probably good for a few years. But the answer your question I know there is an alternative color that is combined between two goldens, but I don’t recall what it is. If you go to the goldens website you probably can look up substitute for QNAG AND I THINK ART HAS SOMETHING THAT THEY PROMOTE AS A SUBSTITUTE. ALTHOUGH WHEN I’VE LOOKED AT IT, I WASN’T QUITE SOLD ON IT. BUT LOOK UP GOLD AND SEE IF YOU CAN FIND OUT WHAT IT IS.
Sorry my caps were left on from qnag
@@LouiseMcKayArt thanks I’ll check it out!
