Another beauty! I totally agree with you, you don't see many people doing functional art. That is all that I do. You have been such an inspiration to me for over a year now. Took a peek at your website, looks great. Did a show this last weekend and sold 35 pieces. Thank you for ALL of your great instructional videos.

Hello Louise. Love your colour palettes. You have inspired me to to make these Lazy Susan’s. Hoping to paint again soon after a long break due to frozen shoulder. What do you sell these for? Greetings from Norway 🇳🇴
Hi Gretchen, 😘thank you so much, one of my favorite things to do is come up with some really cool color palettes. as far as how much I charge, I will leave that to you and your market in Norway, I’m sure Asheville, North Carolina is a very different pricing market than what you have. Price your pieces based on your material costs, your time and what’s worthwhile to you, and what you can get and feel good about getting where you are.🧡
Wow! That’s so pretty! I keep watching yours be stunning, I bought 2 and am terrified. The lazy Suzan on top of the spinner is what freaks me out. I’ve had things spin off! This will be top heavy. Should I tape it down? I need help. 🥴😁 ✌️💜😊
Your fine Dee, on the actual Lazy Susan you’ll be painting on, just tape the underside of the top to the bottom part of the lazy Susan so it can’t spin on the spinner…if that makes any sense. So only the spinner below all the spinning. Remember, it’s only paint and if you don’t like it, you could scrape it off and clean it up and retry. You’ll be fine. Don’t be intimidated by the fact that it’s on a lazy Susan…
Absolutely love this color combo and this blowout! Just perfect! Thank you. I have used primer on my Lazy Susan’s before I paint. May I ask which varnish you use?

thank you 🧡so much Art My Heart I’d rather not say, you have to price based on your local market, how much you value your time, the quality and costs. For me… It’s worth my while, what is it worth to you?
@@pennikinkade9002 I’m frequently getting asked these questions and I do not answer what I sell my creations for because it’s based on this market here in Asheville, cost of my materials, the quality of my pieces, my time and what’s worth it to me. You have to find out, what your price point is given those factors where you are located.
@@LouiseMcKayArtunderstandable to a certain extent…I’m always very transparent because in the end we’re really all here in support of one another but I respect your stance on the matter. Thank you for responding! From one artist to another, your work is stunning!
@@pennikinkade9002 thanks. It’s really a personal question and I answer all questions as best I can, but my pricing is only good here in this market. Thank you for understanding.
Louise I so appreciate your excellent tutorials. Thank you. I notice you often use Goldens QNAG in your colors but it was discontinued before I got into fluid art. Hence I've only seen it on you tube but not for real. When you run out of it what will you substitute? Do you know how to combine colors to make a facsimile? If so would you share that? I love your functional art!
Thank you Louise for sharing your amazing creations. I've just got myself a lazy Susan to decorate. Could you tell me if you tape the back. And if so what do you use to keep the underneath clean for selling.
Hi Lyndy, thank you. So this tutorial is probably good 😊 for you to watch, it shows it all, yes I tape and cover the back, check this tutorial …th-cam.com/video/My7Tbj_D9U4/w-d-xo.htmlsi=Rn-bd8yupURZxJ0- Good luck with yours!!
Hi Louise, I think you’re artwork is stunningly beautiful by the way. I do have one question or a clarification for you, please You mention for your pouring medium that you use Glidden 833124 I’m sorry but I’m confused. Could you explain that to me please. I’m sure you’re very busy. I appreciate your time. Thank you so much.
Hi AndI and thank you, My pouring medium is Glidden 833124 mixed with Minwax varnish at a ratio of 3:1 Glidden:Minwax . And then mix my paint into my pouring medium at a ratio of between 2-3 parts PM: 1 part paint. I hope that helps. Don’t confuse the Glidden I using my pouring medium with the Glidden that I use for my pillow which is GLN6011 N. These are very different
Your videos are great! We have learned a lot! Thanks for sharing! မင်းရဲ့ဗီဒီယိုတွေက အရမ်းကောင်းတယ်။ ငါတို့ အများကြီး သင်ယူပြီးပြီ။ မျှဝေလို့ကျေးဇူးတင်ပါတယ်!
The “piilow” paint is the first paint laid down when creating something using the bloom technique. You can check out my video 140 where I show you how I make my pouring medium and talk about my pillow, and also video 141. I show you how I make my cell activator and talk about the pillow.
Hi Elizabeth, 😘well, watch some videos, mine and others’ and decide on a method you want to try, get done paint and just try! It’s alot of fun! Also I started 3 years ago after a military and manufacturing background
Yes, Susan, I am aware QA is discontinued, but I have stockpiled😅 and at the rate I use paint. I’m probably good for a few years. But the answer your question I know there is an alternative color that is combined between two goldens, but I don’t recall what it is. If you go to the goldens website you probably can look up substitute for QNAG AND I THINK ART HAS SOMETHING THAT THEY PROMOTE AS A SUBSTITUTE. ALTHOUGH WHEN I’VE LOOKED AT IT, I WASN’T QUITE SOLD ON IT. BUT LOOK UP GOLD AND SEE IF YOU CAN FIND OUT WHAT IT IS.
@@LouiseMcKayArt I ask because the is so much thinner than the PPG multi pro which means after thin down my pouring medium a little bit or at least I think I do. The PPG multi pro air bubble thing had really messed me up.
@@fotojeny I agree, and you’re right, the pouring medium/paints, pillow and CA need to consistencies be in sync with each other and these paints were pretty fresh (meaning a tad thinner). I have usually preferred thicker, but this is working.

I always use KS liquid stone resin I have a discount code in the description if you want to take a look, Here’s the link. th-cam.com/video/My7Tbj_D9U4/w-d-xo.htmlsi=RZQzkli0W6Z-IeQf
Stunning as always, Louise. If I may ask, how much do you sell those for? If that’s too personal, I apologize. 😘
thank you 🧡so much Art My Heart I’d rather not say, you have to price based on your local market, how much you value your time, the quality and costs. For me… It’s worth my while, what is it worth to you?
I totally understand. 😉
Can these beautiful lazy-susans you make be used for foods?
Certainly, the KS resin I use is good safe
Absolutely beautiful!!! How much do you sell these for?
Thank you Phyllis, if you go to Golden’s website search QNAG substitute and it’ll give you a facsimile or Tri-Art has one…I haven’t tried either yet
Thank you 🎉
Thank you Louise for sharing your amazing creations. I've just got myself a lazy Susan to decorate. Could you tell me if you tape the back. And if so what do you use to keep the underneath clean for selling.
Hi Lyndy, thank you. So this tutorial is probably good 😊 for you to watch, it shows it all, yes I tape and cover the back, check this tutorial …th-cam.com/video/My7Tbj_D9U4/w-d-xo.htmlsi=Rn-bd8yupURZxJ0-
Good luck with yours!!
Thank you Louise. I have subscribed to your channel so I will catch up with your videos. Thank you for your tutorials you are so clear and precise.
@@Lyndy957 you bet, I try to keep everything is clear, understandable, concise and informative to make it worth your while, spending time with me.😊
Hi Louise,
I think you’re artwork is stunningly beautiful by the way.

What is the pillow? Confused
The “piilow” paint is the first paint laid down when creating something using the bloom technique. You can check out my video 140 where I show you how I make my pouring medium and talk about my pillow, and also video 141. I show you how I make my cell activator and talk about the pillow.
Im brand new to this form of art. I dont know if I have the skill for this.
Hi Elizabeth, 😘well, watch some videos, mine and others’ and decide on a method you want to try, get done paint and just try! It’s alot of fun! Also I started 3 years ago after a military and manufacturing background
Qnag is discontinued, any suggestions?
Sorry my caps were left on from qnag
@@LouiseMcKayArt thanks I’ll check it out!
Do you let the Glidden thicken at all?
Actually, this time I didn’t do anything to it just took it straight out I can
@@LouiseMcKayArt I ask because the is so much thinner than the PPG multi pro which means after thin down my pouring medium a little bit or at least I think I do.
@@LouiseMcKayArt thank you!!
Why is it called sell your art, tips?
