Andrea I've made several of your sweaters and I love them. I have a knitting question that evidently I need a visual to completely understand because I just can't get it right on the first try. Can you show us how to measure the correct length to make a yoke before the armhole stitches should be put on hold. I've never found a picture showing the yoke on a body in comparison to under the arm. Thank you so much.❤

Thank you for the weekly bit of sunshine, as always! For the person wondering about knitting the correct sweater length: I like to measure the row gauge from my finished swatch, then multiply it by the length it says to knit to in the pattern. I then use a row counter for every row/round to get the exact result. Easy, and great for pieced sweaters to ensure your length is uniform for both.

Hi Andrea, I enjoy your videos so much, especially the extra long and chatty ones. It's like sitting and knitting with a friend, which is great as I don't really have any real-life knitting friends. I watch every week from The Netherlands and learn such a lot! Thanks for sharing all your knowledge and beautiful things you make and design!

So, at around 19:50, when you say the length stated to knit to in the pattern is shorter than the finished, blocked length, that is assuming that your pre-washed gauge also matches the knitters pre-washed gauge. Doesn’t it?

I always use Judy's magic cast-on for my toe-up socks ans I love it. Roxanne Richadson has a very good video tuto on this. Thanks for the charming sock sneak peak at minute 9:46. 😉

Good morning, Andrea. I've learned that we're certainly in the minority so...bring on the cool cozy temps of autumn and let's look forward to some snow this winter! Time to cuddle in our knitwear, kindred spirit! I hope to see you in Rhinebeck for my first time.

I use JMCO for all my toe-up socks and it works amazingly well. I do make sure to snug up the turns (corners), especially for the first couple of increase rows.

I'm finally going to be starting my Traveler hoodie this weekend. I'm so excited. Been holding off because of a weight loss journey (because I didn't want to knit a tent) but I'm finally ready to go.

Yes, most people don't love math. But I do! And I love yarn chicken! My friends sometimes ask if I'll start designing sweaters. But why? I love your patterns! (How many versions of the DRK Everyday Sweater have I done now? 🤔) And doing all the different sizes is beyond what I think would be fun. Thank you for all you do! 😘

I could never get the hang of the Turkish Cast On so I always use Judy Becker's Magic Cast On. I don't get the little ears when I do it.

Any worries about steeking not holding - 2 rows of stitching either side of intended cut. Can dry needle felt the steeked sides for extra hold.

Hello Drea, I love your work and I'm from Brasil . Im knitting the tesselated pullover right now. I have a doubt: when the recipe says (sl2 wyib,k2 ) you mean that I will not knit these 2 stitches only the other colour thread passes behind? or all stiches must be knitted?. Did I make myself understood? thank very much

For folks who wanna try Judy’s cast on, this is a great tutorial that has an extra step that makes it a little easier to work and IMO avoid those “ears”. m.th-cam.com/video/CcdfEPuBxdE/w-d-xo.html
