    Hey Leafy!
    Great, Great, Video! Costs $400 and some dollars to have someone else do it. Thought it was very detailed and consistent. Your video will save people a lot of time..and money.. For new ones, it looks complicated, but you made it easy.. Thanks AGAIN!

    great video, GM says to also replace the boots when you do a plug change,
    and since it's that far apart, take out/clean the Map Sensor, with Map Sensor spray cleaner,
    then take off the throttle body and clean it and clean all the parts replace the air filter too,
    get a new throttle body gasket when you reinstall the throttle body,
    clean all the electronic plugs with the proper cleaner before plugging them back in too.

    When changing the plugs, remember to check the wiring: Some wiring is made so that the individual wirings for coils can rub against the cylinder head. That may cause misfiring or blowing the fuse 33. In the latter case everything works except starter and the engine, and it triggers no codes, so no scanner can detect it easily.

    Actually the engine, transmission etc and most of the frame are similar to Colorado, but front suspension and all the other stuff are different or just slightly similar looking. Electrics are mostly same. I have a H3, and as I always want to have some kind of repair manual, I bought the one for Colorado. However, it was a disappointment because of all those things that are different, so the manual is not as useful as I hoped. The video is excellent because it highlights the need for cleanliness. Also doing steps in a logical order concerning tools. The use of compressed air helps getting rid of loose dirt, but then care must be taken not to do damage with it or blow dirt into exposed things when the intake clean air tubing and PCV-hose are disconnected. The best part of the video was finding the fault that triggered the need to replace plugs.

    I have a question. I am doing the same job on a 2006 hummer h3. All of the ignition coils feel like they are stuck on something. They dont just come out easily. I was wondering what is the best way to deal with that issue?

  • @dubbShow5
    @dubbShow5 9 ปีที่แล้ว

    hello i have a 06 h3 hummer and i am having stalling problems. the truck every so often stops while im driving the steering wheels gets tight and the truck just dies while the radio and the lights are still on. my question is have you ever had this problem or know anything about it. i tried buying the new rockies bypass for the passlock security system. That didnt work. I really feel like the passlock system is shutting down the fuel to the engine. Your thoughts.

    • @timokuusela5794
      @timokuusela5794 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      If the starter works after stalling but the engine won't start, the passlock light may be blinking and is on. If the starter will not work, the PCM may be failing or the BCM may also be failing. Then the passlock light is not blinking as the system thinks that everything is just fine. It does not even trigger any codes. My H3 did just that. That is one heck of a fault to diagnose...

    This is a super video. I am going to use it to do mine this weekend. Much appreciated! I have a question....you called the plugs the good ol' ac delco 125992. But mine have a different #.....and I googled 125992 and got something far from spark plugs. Is that the wrong # you mentioned or do I have the wrong plugs? Again, excellent video for an amateur like me, thank you.
