I know that feeling with dealing with stuff in life, riding definitely helps as you said bout not needing the best literally went to bike shop had a look at what they suggested then jumped on fb market place and got 1 for 1/4 of price just a hardtail and couple of market place upgrades lol
Man! That would be tough. I really hope that you work through it all and talking about it has helped. It's easy to hide vulnerability, but it's fucking hard to put yourself out there and show it. Ride on brother 💪👊
Pretty good idea of what you do and yeh that would be a tough gig. As a nurse, I specifically have no intention of doing ED or ever trying to get into Paramedics for the very reason you are experiencing now. I get lots of anxiety so getting out is hard; even more so when I have no one to ride with so I get not really riding by yourself. If I feel really flat its hard to get myself to ride alone, but I am far more likely to go out with mates and everytime I do I feel so much better; it really is like meditation or therapy and I feel better for having done it everytime. When you are out and so focussed on the trails and riding you don't have time to think or worry about anything else and I always come home feeling more alive and thankful for it.
absolutely mate, never knew how much I needed bikes until my incident. riding bikes now is not only just something fun do do, I've realised now that its something I need to do.
I’m glad you uploaded this one Kiel. Like everyone…we all start riding for different reasons(mainly fun)but I can’t almost guarantee clearing one’s cluttered mind would be up there. I know I definitely do! Life is fucking hard, being able to switch your brain off and enjoy what riding does is massive. Still keen to shoot some paper targets with ya bro, we definitely need to ride again too! Much love homie👊🏼
See blokes talk more because real blokes like you lead the way. Bro I use my channel to talk through stuff because I want blokes to see it’s ok to make yourself vulnerable . It’s not for everyone but those lucky enough I find it’s a huge part of mind space health. I use mine to talk about cancer I had / got but my biggest thing in my life is having two kids with disability . Bro I love them but it’s hard man. I ride to reset my mind to be my very best for them . I’ve often pulled up somewhere and had a cry feeling sorry for myself but things just make sense after a ride . I completely applaud you for putting those big balls out there and saying “ hey riding is my mental health tool” . I know about your previous injuries so I can only guess the importance of MTB to you. I also have no clue what you do for a living but I hope you enjoy it . I thoroughly enjoyed your video and I sure can relate . Thanks for making this video mate❤️
Thanks Mick 🙏. I 100% agree with you, even though riding is a fun activity to do, and not only is it physically taxing in relation to the exercise, but I feel like it’s taxing on the mind (in a good way), that like you said, helps reset the mind. I love it.
