Rend is awesome if you use specific sign techniques with it. Fire stream especially but also aard sweep only use part of your stamina, and since rend doesn’t need a full stamina bar, you can immediately charge rend while they are distracted by being on fire
Hunter instinct says "targeted enemy type". This refers to the oil... If u aint got the right oil for the enemy u fight u wont get the crit dmg increase! Thats why it's only good in combination with fixative imo
You could just open your inventory and apply the right oil? Fixative was already redundant, but now it's even more useless since 4.03 finally added auto-apply oil feature.
I have a attack with sign build with adrenaline piercing cold with armor slots for energy regeneration I can't be stopped extended World on my aerondight sword
Piercing Cold + every possible buff to Aard = being a hurricane against enemies. It's so much fun to just rapid fire casts. In NG+, even fairly underleveled for the area, I was farming coin from the bandit forts in Toussaint (curse you and your insane starting costs, Runewright), and even 15-ish levels below the bandits (lvl 90), Aard chewed right through them without a problem
A video about the mutations would be cool. I sometimes don't understand many of them and someone who built many builds explaining them would be really helpful
Flood of Anger since Next Gen patch makes the game for me. The Sign Tree is too much of a sacrifice for your precious skill slots and now all you need is 3/4 skill slots ( Flood of Anger plus some skills for that adrenaline engine) and elation enchantments to get the entire sign tree into your build. Granted, you wont be able to spam signs like the griffin or forgotten wolf but thats not how a witcher should fight. The most fun way to play is to tactically cast your extremely powerful signs as a sword/ alchemy expert.
Deadly precision is funny. I was fight a lvl 40 monster and im lvl 34 atm and they are hyping this monster up and im exicited becuse of what it can do and next thing you know it starts flying gets stuck on an invisible block on the side of the mountain and i used my rune ability of have extra slashing range and killed it instantly and it fell off the top of the moutain into the ocean. I was like bruh lmao
Wait, people sleep on Rend? It's in pretty much every combat & hybrid build I see 😂 Totally agree about Yrden tho, I slept on that for several playthroughs but it's awesome, I put Magic Trap & Aard Sweep in a Conductors of Magic build w/ Forgotten Wolf & it's been really fun to play so far
Phoenix237 made a couple of videos on that already. The main thing would be Tesha Mutna set with Ekimara and Ekidna decoction. some other stuff I can't think from the top of my head.
On my new game+ i went with griffin set and its really fun, bad thing is i dont get to use aerondight that much. I think i truly enjoyed more a fully orientated ursine set with euphoria
I don't get why ppl use the potion of Clarence since the skills slots are limited and unless you mess up your build sooo damn bad in your first playthrough you can comfortably do another without a potion in fact I have 3 builds in new game plus with 3 witcher armors I change if I get bore of one but never I have use a potion of clearance there's more than enough skills points to do at least 2 overpower builds and another" experimental "one.! Is good that we have it but we don't need it! Bte on new gane plus the gane gave you one but you find it in the open world to I find like 3 in witcher gear locations, btw in new game plus the grandmaster bonuses are unlock even with the most basic iteration of witcher gear
Some guy on the signs blue colored panel of perks has that instead of 3/3 levels perk investments, he has 5/5 perk investments. How did he get that? Or is it different on PC or something? I am on playthrough 2 on New Game-plus at level 84 and I still have 3/3 at the most, but I did not do as much research into mutagens in that guy's lab to cure his son of the witcher bio-hacking.
Just start a death march playthrough and can't seem to upgrade my silver sword at the beginning. I know that I can get the griffin silver sword early but until I can equip it, I feel like I am swinging a plastic sword that breaks in two fights. Somebody has tips for me that I don't know.
Go to Phoenix 237 he has some amazing Deathmarch tips. It depends on what level you are as a player to equip weapons and armour. You can use the level 11 gearset you get at Vizema Nine tailed Fox Japanese gear. It's pretty handy till you get level 16 Undvik gear in Skellige Kaer Trolde. Or the Bear gear
Hey buddy! Great work as always. I'm looking to use Metamorphosis for the first time as I go to into NG+. 1. Does is activate up to 5 decoctions plus the ones I have active or is it 5 total? 2. What 8 or so decoctions would you recommend keeping while dropping the rest? Appreciate it Nozza, have a good one mate!
You can have 8 or 9 decoctions in metamorphosis build if you want. Personally, I would mix potions with metamorphosis as its the best of both worlds. Best decoctions to keep are Ekimara Ekidna Troll Aracas Personally, those 4 are my favourite when I want to play lazy and not keep check of my toxicity and potion timing. There are very few enemies that I would have trouble killing with those 4 decoctions. Ancient leshan is pretty handy. Relievers is a good addition to damage reduction. Some people like chort and katakan decoctions, but I never use them. The rest are not as useful on a general playthrough. Decoctions like waterhag, Wyvern, succubus, and dappler increase damage over time, but usually, the fights are before you can fully utilise them or taking any damage negates the effects of the decoctions. If you want to play Metamorphosis, watch Phoenix 237. He is the Grandmaster of Witcher setups.
I seem to be unable to cast the alternate yrden via flood of anger. When I hold down R2 + 🔼 it just casts the upgraded normal version. Can someone tell me why it isnt working?
I’ve read if you have invested skill points into certain sign perks (like alternate yrden) but don’t slot them, it causes them to not work with flood of anger. Hopefully that helps

How's it working out?

They switched it in New Gen. Only goes to 3 now.
I'm not being daft am I but I don't appear to have the same skills as you at all? Like the unlimited blade oil skill isn't in my skill tree at all
You have the DLC right?
Regarding Flood of Anger- alt signs do not work for me, none of them, , any ideas?
Maybe a late reply, but you need to have the adrenaline bar to be filled up to 3 bars (full). Its on the top most left, the red bars.
I have the adrenaline point revive and the revive mutation.. it’s pretty much impossible to die lol

Manticore armour with a bomb build is really powerful.
Might even be the strongest build tho it's a sleeper. I actually made a video where I two shot the Frog Prince, the beefiest boss in the game

What is that potion that looks like the potion of clearance
It's clears your mutations is the same way Clearance does abilities.

When I use Flood of Anger skill equiped, for some reason I can't cast alternate sign mode on signs. Is there anyone who can help?
Remove all skills (active and unactive) from the sign tree using a potion of clearance. That should fix the bug.

maybe they broke it in patch 4.01? I haven't tested it but it was working in 4.00.

It's on its way 😉
Why my skills up to 3 only
why my slot is less than yours?
u have u unlock mutagens in the blood and wine dlc
Is that a vanilla skill tree, or is it modded?
Blood and Wine DLC allows for extra slots and the extra mutations. No mods
