The Haybot got into your farm because the walls were too low, and when the walls are too low the robots will pile up against the wall, pushing each other over. I had this same issue when I was building my base.
Or maybe it spawned inside because hes too far away and bots most likely spawn as far as possible from you
You should put a timer on your car so when you're out exploring, the timer can alert you at for example eight o' clock (20:00), so you know to go back to the farm before the raid.

21:12 its called path finding the npc scans the chunk its loaded in and finds the best path to your crops this type of ai can be self improving to increase difficulties in some games
edit: this is not a guarantee that this game has path finding just throwing what i know out there ¬,¬
You might be right about the path finding, though only in some situations. The boss for example still tries to go through walls placed in front of it. Some bots like the greenies might actually have that since they go somewhat around the farm's walls. Either way, what you said is still quite true. 🙂

Every game has path finding without it they would just stand there and didn't move at all
TIP of the day:
Use the big chest instead if the small ones to automatically resuply your ammo box during fights
Edit for clarification: You still need the ammo box, maybe use vacuum pump or something to make it work somehow
you need the ammo container to put ammo in the spudguns but yes you can connect a large chest to it on the top for more storage
I was gonna say that then i saw "TIP OF THE DAY" so now i dont have to yay.
Is it only me? That connecting that not automatically resuply the ammo box (also oil and battery box ) (tried yesterday but not working and removed from my truck )
Skuld Norniern I’m not sure, but you might need a vacuum pump. Also, I’m not sure about this either but it might not re supply the box. Maybe the box will just suck whatever resources it needs out of the chest once it’s empty and then shove it into whatever is hooked up.

With every new episode, the more I realize that I should have started watching when the survival series came out, watched 5 episodes the day they came out and then never again and here I am, about 71 episodes behind.

just so you know, i saw you can connect the chest full of ammo to the ammo container using vacuum tubes or if you put the chest on top of it.

Once you can spawn in creations on your lift in survival, I would SO like to see what your mounted super-spudling gun (the one you used for the dogfight Multiplayer Monday) would do to the Haybots and bosses.
When you put in a fuel canister or a battery into an engine, when its empty it consumes it immediately to recharge itself to 100%. Batteries and canisters are consumables for the engines

if you are worried about accidentally running out of ammo while fighting a boss, such as if you are up against multiple bosses without time to reload, it might help if you have a big chest feeding directly into the ammo canister, since it looks like it has a port to allow for such things. then you could hold an absurd amount more ammo

I have a suggestion for the spudling car
Stiffen the front suspension so that the range will increase
They only attack the front wall when you are there, so they target you, but when you're not there they will attack the sides. (I think)
I think its like a radius circle that spawn from scrap man and I think thats why the Haybots spawn inside of the farm
well, I think that the hay bots are scared by the saws, so they attack the sides because there are no saws, and they can go along the sand and out of the crushers range, so just put some walls with saws on the sand.
and the way they got in, I think they managed to climb the debris of the wall and get inside the farm
they attack the weakest part of a wall, thats why they attacked the wood door in the trailer when everything else was made of concrete

I remember your very first dog fight multiplayer Monday like a year or two ago and I think it would be a beautiful idea to make a spud gun turret that can aim all directions, it would be especially useful if the devs ever made flying bots

You can set up buttons/switches on your car to have the spud guns shoot a set amount of bullets. Like you could have a haybot button that shoots 4 and a boss button that shoots 60. It would save on ammo and be satisfying to watch the perfect amount fly out of the cannon.

Our battle will be legendary.
What bots are used for and what happened to them.
1. Whipbots. The whipbots are used for herding wocs. They now use their electrical whip for attacking the player.
2. Haybots. Haybots would tend the hay/wheat that was fed to farm animals. They now use their pitchfork to either stab or blunt force the player to death.
3. Tapebots. Tapebots were used for packaging many different things quick. The tapebots throw the tape they have at the player, with heavy damage. Yellow tapebots do it faster and stronger and red tapebots shoot explosive projectiles.
4. Farmbots/Bosses The farmbots were used to 1) Till ground 2) Drill? 3) Water plants. They now use the scythe to attack the player and the chemical cannon used to shoot water. The drill? I don't know what it does.
I bought Scrap Mechanic because of you and the boys. Thank you so much for your content and I hope to see more every week! I didn't play too much of survival yet, but I think your raid lag is do to your number of vehicles and parts spawned near your base. Maybe you could test if you anchor them to the ground if it would be less laggy. Cheers

The reason why they get over there on the wall is because the saw blades are scaring them into the side where there are no saw blades
So amazing idea, for the boss put your whole gatling system on a piston, with your wall strategy so your spud guns aren't so vulnerable but put its on a piston so its not so close to you seat, wheels, or just any other important components if your vehicle and the just retract the piston so you don't have a super lon bottoming out vehicle. Only one e issue and that's will the piston hold the weight. Also it might be smart as annoying as it is to put your seat to one side so the boss won't come directly at your spuds witch are in the middle. Sorry for such a long comment but enjoy if you see this.

If you connect all the spud-guns to a logic repeater circuit, you can make it more compact and not waste fuel spinning it up. I know that wouldn't be a proper *gatling* gun, but it just makes more sense...
Also, I saw a bunch of other people's comments about connecting a large chest to resupply ammo, which I would also recommend.
Finally, making the gun adjustable by either putting the gun on a bearing or by making the front wheels have adjustable suspension would allow you to deal with distances or unevenly sloped terrain.
You know, it's almost as though building everything with the bare minimum of support isn't the optimal strategy.

The base's crusher comes down into a slot on the watering frame. That gives me the idea that you could have guide rails sticking upwards like flagpoles to help keep the crusher sturdy as it moves
