It does have me thinking about how surfing culture shows (or lacks) respect in cultures such as Tonga, Java etc. Not every beach in southern california or Noosa.
I agree. It's odd to me that these women don't understand that they are being played by surf companies. Soft porn sells. And the disrespect they have for themselves and others is offensive. I surfed for almost 40 years and never felt the need to have my behind showing (my nickname was "the body") I was a beautiful young woman. I surfed on team Hotline and for a local surf shop. It was all about Soul and freeform expression. If these women loved themselves they would understand the concept of respect for other cultures.
