I worked the gold star in the 70s for Laungni painting. I did just about every bridge on the ct. river from the saybrook rail road bridge to the dexter coffin bridge in Windsor ct. 34 years local 1122
Worked for Abhe&Svoboda on the Mackinac Bridge. Was their mechanic. Also spent many hours in containment as a grit sucker. Ran the crane for the riggers occasionally.
nice to see a video of an old job i used to do, but we sure didnt have platforms and fencing when i did it, it was belly tarps that often ripped and dropped workers to the ground or water.... and for some silly reason, we never tied up... good to see things have changed for the better
I blasted on the gold star bridge in Connecticut , and blasted and painted 1 of the tallest water towers around at Cape Kennedy Fla at launch pad B after all that climbing over the years , I ended up having to have a hip replacement
