These are the first delkims that I've bought and I really like them they are very responsive. I only do day sessions so not having a reciver doesn't bother me at all. I won't be going back to any other make of alarm it's delkims from now on for me
Man I love these alarms- bought mine about 9months ago now used on a weekly basis whatever the weather and so far I’m super stoked with them and can’t recommend them enough for the price!! One thing I really agreed with was said right at the end- you cannot beat that sound! 🙌🏼 Def gonna look into the ND add ok so that a receiver can be used as mentioned on other comments but if not they’re more then loud enough as I always pretty close to my rods anyways.
Had my set for 4 years now and theyve been fualtless, used weekly in all weather. I decided i wanted a receiver last year and used the new direction add on
@@scarrott941 not sure on the evds because I have an old set of delks, but as long as the evds have a jack port on them for illuminated swingers ect then it should work
Not on these ones apparently. The jack port is directly linked to the LEDs so if the led is lit even after one beep... you'll get a one toner on the receiver until the LEDs on the alarm go out? Right? I'd be happy if I'm wrong like.
I have no use for a receiver to be honest but I was wondering if you could perhaps plug an old style sounder box into them . I might just buy a pair for winter pike fishing 🤔🤔🤔
@@Padrat1 I use my alarms (TXis) for pike fishing here (Ireland, not much carping here) and most of the time its on big lakes where you are in a field and maybe 10 yards or so from the rods down on the bank, not on a nice platform on the commercials, like over in UK... 😉 On a windy night with rain beating down on the bivvy (it IS Ireland ☔️🙄) I NEED a receiver under the pillow...
very clever from delkim this, everyone who's ever been carp fishing has heard of them and know of how good the delkim name is, a lot of people will pay 50 squid to have the delkim look and sound in their set up. I personally use the txi d alarms but I can definitely see a use for these in my fishing as a day kit alarm as your not gonna need a receiver for day fishing
Hang on? Why would you not use them at night. Most of us have our bivvys and brollys literally feet from the rods. If you rely on the receiver to wake you maybe you should get a hearing test. I can hear mine and my mates in the next swim😂😂😂
I was reluctant to get these because I wanted a receiver, but I did buy these and I do a lot of night fishing and these are plenty loud enough to hear.
@inSaNe_44 I find these alarms tell me where the fish are in my swim if I have it on sensitive they brush past the delkims will feel it. Or u can turn that sensitivity down when the wind comes and still get bites. These alarms have helped me catch more fish really I think. I use them like a radar lol. If carps swimming by the delkims can feel it. You can get them dialed right in for your needs if you want to. Depends on the day don't it what they days Like on the day. I like mine sensitive so I got that extra detection under the water. Their not getting past me.
If you can't hear your alarms from your bivvy then either they're not turned on or you've gone deaf! No need for a receiver unless you're going on a walk about with your rods left alone fishing.. Which you shouldn't.
After havins 3 sets of the txi plus,s that all went wrong (water proofing and battery draining problems i would never buy any delkim products ever again
Bazura Delkim.. Reciclaje Delkim.. No vale este dinero.. El pack de 3 alarmas no vale 50eur..las de NGT 3 más receptor son doble de las alarmas Delkim.. Sonido bajo.. Etc.. B A Z U R A
Line gets pulled.... alarms go beep.... all good!
I use a New Direction receiver and this connects fine with the Delkim EVD alarms for night fishing.
Wich reseiver is that?
What receiver ?
Boys search ND tackle dongles, get a set of 2 or 3 dongles and a receiver for less that £80
I keep hearing that these don't work with dongles and Receivers coz the socket is for power hangers only?
How did you set these up mine just bleep constant when I put the dongles in?

Still using my Delkims EV plus. They rock 💪😎. No need for reciever, for my type of fishing.

Amazing price point, but I can't imagine myself fishing without a receiver

Wait.. the new direction dongle works with these??
New direction add on? Tell us more
I use the Nd receiver dongles with delks too. Makes the alarms bulky but it works a treat
@@Thatscarpy90 with the evds? I thought they didn't work with any type of dongle?
@@scarrott941 not sure on the evds because I have an old set of delks, but as long as the evds have a jack port on them for illuminated swingers ect then it should work
I am stil using my old school STD Delkims, and stil loving them. For short sessions this wil be great alarms
You don't have to worry about the lack of a receiver because you can buy dongles which work off the output socket to your receiver.
Not on these ones apparently. The jack port is directly linked to the LEDs so if the led is lit even after one beep... you'll get a one toner on the receiver until the LEDs on the alarm go out?

Next on my list after a forty plus year break
Had a set in the day ( antennae which line went round , wired out to a sounder box )
Solid piece of kit
No receiver basically means they are daytime alarms
Can you use them with the gardner attx transmitter and v2 receiver?
I have no use for a receiver to be honest but I was wondering if you could perhaps plug an old style sounder box into them .

Had a set of TXI's which unfortunately got stolen...been using the EV D's for a few years now. I can't fault them, at all.
Not having a receiver in 2023 will be a big minus. Maybe for the day anglers or those lucky to be fishing next to their rods .
Why’s that? The only time iv ever used a receiver is with atts I use fox now and don’t even take the receiver with me

If it had a reciver it would be the best alarm on the market for cheap
which would make the txi d redundant (not a great business model)

other Delkims (9 V)?

Hy, how are they on windy weather? Thank you
@inSaNe_44 yeah you just dial down the sensitivity down and keep a tight line if it's really windy. Don't fish slack line like keep it tight.

never see the point of having a recever
