when it comes to stories i enjoy, there needs to be a balance. too much optimism can be teeth-rotting, and being too tragic can turn me off, because the characters’ lives are so shitty that it’s hard to feel for them.
Lovely video :) I've checked out Siren on PS2 since you talked about it! I really love the atmosphere, unique gameplay and the cutscenes are stuuunning. Getting a bit frustrated with some of the more peculiar mission objectives but otherwise it's so cool. As far as manga goes, just started Junji Ito's Uzumaki after reading his Fragments of Horror short stories. Never read any manga besides some Zelda when I was a kid haha. Really into Ito's work so far. Look forward to ya next video, they're the best ^_^
