Jerry Goff was at my church many times when I was little. I faintly remember waking up from a nap after church one sunday night and Jerry Goff was talking with my grandfather and started talking to me when I woke up.
A group of us went to see Jerry Goff at Redford Theater thinking late 70' or early 80's. Amazing! It began with Jerry coming from back of theater playing Old Rugged Cross on his horn.
So saddened by the passing of Dr. Jerry Goff but I know he's with our Savior. I got to see him at WGGS Ch. 16 in Greenville, SC and they streamed the funeral today live and it was so wonderful. He and Lil Jan were so precious when we saw them there. He was from Greenwood, SC which is about 18 miles from me. The last time I got to see him was at the NQC about three years ago. Bro. Jerry "I'll See You In The Rapture Some Sweet Day".
Thank you so much for putting this online. With Bro. Jerry's passing this week, this song takes on a special significance, particularly for those like myself who never saw him in concert or met him.
Thanks DINANA for posting this. I have known Jerry for well over 45 years. He used to come to my home town and sang back in the 60's. I have ever record album that he and the Singing Goffs made. Darlene
Ive been fortunate to see Jerry and the Goffs many times. I went to elementary school with a Micky Goff in Greenwood SC waaaay back in the day. Maybe he is one of your relatives.
