Plus they're 1-1 against each other in head to heads this year. SGA leads in defensive +/-, but Jokic leads in offensive +/- and overall +/-, as well as in value over replacement, so all that points to Jokic having more impact. SGA also has a way higher usage rate, so even though their numbers might look pretty close and equally impressive, Jokic is getting his more efficiently. As a center, Jokic has more defensive responsibilities and competition at his position so it always looks more impactful when a guard plays good defense than when a center does. Jokic isn't seen as this year's MVP simply for just being the best player, but because he truly is performing better than anyone else. For a 3X(should be 4X) MVP to even be considered of winning another, they really need to be doing something special, and since Jokic is somehow having an even better year than his previous 4 MVP caliber seasons there is no denying that what he is currently doing is special.
