- When Axial Racing released the large scale SCX6 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon Unlimited RC Rock Crawler, we were beyond excited about the release. Greg had actually suggested such a release to the crew many years ago. So needless to say, he really likes this truck and during the first video we posted about it, showed what a great time you can have with this rig with some simple trail driving. But how does it perform with much more challenging terrain? That’s exactly what this video is for. Greg took the SCX6 back out for another run at one of his favorite spots where he knew some of the terrain that his 1/10 rigs couldn’t tackle would be perfect for this Giant RC Car. Go along with him for a fun drive with some amazing background to see just how much fun this new scale RC rock crawler is.

@@D.C.Johnson thank you. This could really be the start of new creative scale hobby if other companies join in. I'm not counting on axial to provide painted trimmed ready to run scale bodies to buy for this beast. Seen this new truck at the hobby shop, its huge.

Greg, it broke just like a full scale Jeep if put in that same situation. Very cool. My son and I went to the local hobby shop today and got to see the SCX6 in person. Its a bit big for my liking at this point in time but who knows, that could change. As always good video/content. Keep it up!!!

I made mine have a soft top by using black gorilla tape, scratch protector.. looks pretty good.. servo and beadlocks next!!
did the foams get damaged by the water? I would be concerned about that give that there are no closed cell foams or alternate tires available right now
I love that the 1/6 market is starting to pick up, I recently bought and reviewed the brand new FMS 1/6 1970 Suzuki Jimny, that is a super detailed vehicle, not as capable as this SCX6 but also a fraction of the cost. Looking forward to seeing more come out in this scale.
Wish mine would hurry up and get here! I want to see some wheel options along with metal bumpers and sliders. I just love watching this thing move it is so realistic.

What a beautiful and peaceful area. This rc very interesting. Makes me want to buy one but the price tag is very expensive here ($1400). Always enjoy your video's. Please keep up the awesome job.

I wonder if some anti-foams would help solve the sideways tire roll without affecting the grip too much?
FYI, after I bound it to by DX5-PRO I was able to increase the endpoints and get more steering. 130% was max travel.

I know you said something about battery life when you first got it but now that you are really putting it through its pace what are you seeing? Are you running 2X 3S in parallel or just one at a time?
If it was me I would run one at a time that way when you hit lipo cut off you know you have the juice to get you home unless your carrying around more spares
I hate to be stuck out in the woods that thing broke down that's the last thing I'd hate to have to carry that carry out the woods lol 😆
I think I'll bring a few tools and a dog leash when trailing this one. Pull the pinion and walk it home. LOL
