  • This promotional video introduces the features of the New TEIN EDFC ACTIVE.
You can see very clearly how much the damping force is adjusted while driving.

Will this work in conjunction with EDFC for the Flex series or as a replacement for it?

Wow. Does the EDFC Active work for the Street Advanced kit for the 2014 Accord coupe?

According to their web site part number EDK05-10120 is used on the Street Advanced kit for 13+ Honda Accord coupe or sedan. I would love to get Street Advanced on my 14 Accord to smooth out the ride when I'm driving on streets but also to stiffen when needed. Does this kit have the ability to make the ride softer than factory?

kd5you1 I've heard reviews that the overall dampening is generally rougher than stock but not by much. But if you are interested, I believe they have a new kit out called EDFC pro with will control the dampening force of each damper independently. That should affect the ride quality a lot more.

My problem is that the ride is hammering me really bad while driving to work. I'm trying to get it softer than stock. The low profile tires especially Good Year make the ride rough as well and I've considered going to 17" wheels and a higher sidewall tire.

kd5you1 sorry but I think a lot of the roughness is due to the Macpherson struts in the front and that the frame of the vechicle is made from high strength steel for rigidity and safety. Unfortunately, I don't think swapping the wheels out won't be able to improve the ride comfort too much.

i do not understand how the stepper motor can activate and rotate so fast the vertical adjusting rods that adapt the hard soft behavior of the dampers.
when you do it manually to set your damper compression/rebound ''rate'', there are clicks to turn (usually from 1 to 30, on KW or Bilstein) and you have a delay.
this seems unrealistic and much faster adapting than possible in reality.
Can someone explain me in details how works the connection with the dampers adjusting rods ? which dampers are supported ? every dampers setting rods or knobs are different ...
if this becomes clear, then people will stop saying its shit :-)

Buddy these people been around for 40 plus years, and this system has been around for over a decade. No one cares that YOU don't see how it works 🤣🤣🤣 Meanwhile in reality it's been tried and tested to be true. Not to mention Adaptive and Active suspension has been around since the 80's when Totoya introduced it. The spinning of dials isn't rocket science, it uses a small high rpm motor that easily spins accordingly, faster than your fingers can do it.

by the looks of it i would say yes. not really practical on streets if you ask me

Good question, no they should not compared to running std adj dampeners on med-stiff setting daily. The valving wears out when you drive on hard compression or rebound dampening because its working harder to dampen the shock motion so the stepper motor's ability to reduce dampening on the fly will actually reduce wear and tear since the shock isn't running at full hard all-day, only when you need it. The little threads on the stepper motor dont wear out if you use the supplied weird orange colored thread grease packet.
