What principles can be identified in Bermuda's pressing?

I don't think this press was particularly good.
It was good enough against this level of opposition but almost every time, there were outballs to escape the press, the opposition just weren't good enough to find them.

Remember it is women football and not all are technically capable of playing accurate long passes on a consistent basis. The Bermuda team for most part closed down the near passing options and were able to force errors.

So let me agree with you, the obvious thing is that the Bermuda pressing was to force long hopeful balls or short risky ones and in most cases it worked.

@@M-10Football yes 100%. It was very effective.
Just thinking that against a decent mens team or top womens team, the press would have needed to be better.
I like a press that shuts down all easy options and forces a player to pick a tough pass, under pressure or gives them no option for a pass at all.
This was a good effort and a job well done though.
