- Hi Folks,
This is a video of a campervan I built from scratch a few years ago.
Its relevant to the channel due to the option as a bug out vehicle , be it an event or something as simple as a power cut and you want a place to go with hot and cold water ,toilet and tv, heating etc, and deal with any problems he next day.
It took me about a year and a half to build /2 years.
Any questions hit me in the comments and I will do my best to answer.
Apologies that there is no voice over with the build pictures at the end but I am really really bad at video editing lol.
cheers

Happy to help mate if you need advice.its a great thing for a young family. Away every weekend matey.
@@Scottishprepper73 I’d need to figure some little bunks aswell for kids
@UKUrbanPrepper
That's an easy solution, go for the xlwb H3 version of mine. Similar layout re double bed but enough room for fixed double bunks.
I'm still working on that. Might be a bit
@@deanoktoday9155 working on?
Nicely done.
Thanks buddy
How easy or difficult was your experience with DVLA when it comes to changing the V5 to motorhome?
Same question when it comes to insurance, some of these companies don't like home builds it would seem.
I never changed the v5 mate, it's on the to do list, I've used brentacre for years and during the build and found them excelent matey
@@Scottishprepper73 Thanks, best of luck with the V5, some other folk have had a real fight to get it changed.
@steveclark.. the big issue folks have is the bonded windows, for some reason dvla don't like it, the seitz ones like mine get passed with no problem, plus your bed, cooking, awning rail etc, there is a list but it's not difficult.
Lots of pictures in with the form.
I know a lot of folks who have had it passed, you will be fine.
@@Scottishprepper73 Like with some folk getting their driving license back with groups removed, DVLA seem to make stuff up/do what they like.
Again, best of luck, hope that you don't have any problems.
Incredible transformation. I absolutely love it.
Appreciated, thank you
Well done mate. From a prepping point of view, it makes a nice comfy bug out vehicle - all mod cons etc. Very nice. You just need to add some spiked wheels and bull bars for the zombie apocalypse and you're all ready. ha-ha.
Mad max style
That is a very nice layout and going from the photos and the finished van, you put a lot of thought and care into the build.
What was the thinking of the cassette loo over a composting one ?
Tbh I never even considered a composting toilet, never even crossed my mind if I'm honest.
Wow looks amazing.. great job
Thanks mate
