      @EASTCOASTGONGWINGFOILING-sr6kh why not I have been foiling 3 years and spent a small fortune everything changing so quick can't keep up fancy the down wind thing but will take me a few years to save for the kit haha . Enjoy my friend, take care 🙂

      You can get wider wings than this but this was as big as I wanted to go
      I think 2024 will see quite a few people getting onto these boards 👍

    I only had a quick try with the super power soft handles ,but i just got the boom version ( heavily reduced price at the moment ) such a difference feels a way lighter and easier to handle

    Very nice. Considering a Hipe Cruzader too. 85 kgs, hesitating between the 7.00 or the 7.6…😊 they are even in width. I can foil a 117 liter hardboard with 12 knots and a 1750cm foil, 6m wing.

      Think it depends what you want to use it for - for just light wind foiling, you should be ok. If you want to do true down winding or paddle up , then all the youtube vids of people who actually do that say get a board between 7 to 8ft long. Good luck if you go for it 🤞👍☺️

    Amazing that you flew an inflatable in such light wind. Do you imagine light wind foiling would get boring at some point relative to good speed wind foiling?

    • @EASTCOASTGONGWINGFOILING-sr6kh

      Hi Ive used this a lot for light wind foiling. My local spot is a large inland lake that i go to most of all. Im enjoying the lower speed stuff - it allows me to switch my brain off and just chill. A good mental health tonic 👌

    I tried my KT Dragon 8'4" a few days ago .... VERY hard to balance...Gong has a much flatter bottom, so maybe it is easier.

    • @EASTCOASTGONGWINGFOILING-sr6kh

      I love the look of the KT boards and those longer ones seem perfect for the ocean. I think yours is 22" wide. The Gong is 22.5" wide so not much in it. These downwind boards with the narrower width take a little while to adjust to - dont give up keep practicing you will get there👍😀

    I tried the curve 5xl H (165 cm) but it was very hard to control and seems sensitive. Most perturbing was the very low speed foiling. Maybe need more tries to figure it out

    • @EASTCOASTGONGWINGFOILING-sr6kh

      yes these wider wings seem quite sensitive and also i think i was foiling very close to its stall speed - these conditions were really borderline for me - i think if its average 10 knots then id be quite happy with that. Agreed its just more time needed on this foil to work out what it can and cant do and get more comfortable with it. Im just amazed how well it did
      I was told the larger curve H are able to turn better than the sirus but i dont really need to carve about, so the sirus is enough for me. Id like to try a larger curve H one day but that will have to wait for a while lol

    Hello, I also own a 7.5 superpower and enjoy it. Could you tell me how much PSI you put in it please, because I'm afraid to explode it by overinflating since Gong does not provide pressure information. Thanks.

    • @EASTCOASTGONGWINGFOILING-sr6kh

      With the gong pump I go up to 6psi.
      I then do a push test on the front spar with the wing on the ground upside down
      If there are any big creases when I push down I will put in some more air but I keep checking until the creases are nearly gone
      So far that works for me on all the wings I have 👍

    I'm a little surprised because of the HM85 mast, while for such a big wing Gong recommend the wider HM86 mast. No problem of control/twist ?

    Do you have much trouble standing/balancing on the Crusader with little wind or forward board speed?

    • @EASTCOASTGONGWINGFOILING-sr6kh

      No. I did at first - just kept falling off but i soon adjusted to get the right balance. I do cheat sometimes (i do it a bit in this video) - i put the tip of the wing onto the water an use it a bit like an extra arm and that helps - just saves energy when the wind reallly drops to nothing 😁

    Hi, I want to know how do you like that 7.5 super power?
    Is it hard to handle? Is it horribly big?

    • @EASTCOASTGONGWINGFOILING-sr6kh

      Hi it's a good wing for me but I am 110kg and 6ft 2" tall so it's not too big for me.
      In very light winds it does get heavy on arms and shoulders after 30 mins
      But in good winds it's no problem

    • @EASTCOASTGONGWINGFOILING-sr6kh

      Hi - I only managed about 3 short runs on Sunday as the wind was so light
      I need a day with more wind to really try it out but from the rides up on foil I had I think it felt quite sensitive to my inputs - I just need to get used to it more
      When up on foil though it felt crazy to be flying at such low speed 👍☺️
