My dad bought this pinball machine new in 1981. I grew up with it. Firepower and Medieval Madness are my two favorite machines. Williams made the best pinball machines. Too bad they left the pinball biz in 1999...
What an awesome machine my dad used to have this in his basement and he sold it and wow today I want it back in our game room. And they made around 20,000 so they are not hard to find online. In my top 50 for sure😀
great pin from Williams, fast and great sounds.Williams had the greatest sounds, including there video games.but I love pinball a whole lot more. Thank for posting.
Loved playing this game as a kid at the corner pharmacy. The flippers were amazing and lane change lights, multiball and cool space music was ahead of it's time.
Ouh, played it hours land hours with my girlfriend Anschi. What a good time then. She loved the Multiball and i liked to eatch while she was playing in full concentration. Would love to play one again.
I used to love playing this awesome Williams Pinball back in the day when it was brand new, in a arcade at Clacton-on-Sea just outside of what used to be the Butlins Holiday Camp.

If you can’t actually own the real thing for whatever reason Pinball Hall of Fame Williams & Gottlieb Collections for the Wii are fantastic simulations. Wiimote is the left flipper, nunchuck is the right flipper and nudging the M/C is done by motion sensing. It feels and works wonderfully. 👍🏼 🥚 🎱
my friend , i do not consider your youth "misspent" if u played gorgar , firepower and black knight! add stellar wars , and your training is complete young paduan, i do agree that was a lot of hair ago! peace brother!
A simple yet fun Williams M/C from the early 80’s . One of my favourites. Get Pinball Hall of Fame Williams Collection for the Wii if you can’t own a real pinball M/C. Firepower is one of the great games included on the disc. Pinball Hall of Fame Gottlieb Collection for the Wii is pretty good too. 🥚 👁 ⚾️
I prefer Firepower II as it's easier to get multi-ball. Just lock one ball and hit the release target. I also prefer the Firepower II artwork. It's more rare with only 3,400 made.
@@bhs6252 Well, according to the designer: "The first 10 games we built had 2 3-banks of drops in place of the standups. They were so crappy that they were making the game unreliable, so we went with the standups for production. It was a smart move. If we had good drop targets it would have sold 20,000, but it wasn't working long enough to earn anything with the bad drops....". This info can be found here: www.ipdb.org/machine.cgi?id=856 I'm not sure what the issue was with the drop targets. Stellar Wars and Time Warp (for example) use the same type of drop targets in a similar spot to Firepower and those games were fine.
It's an all-time classic, but it's also a bitch to play as you saw. I have this game on mobile app Pinball Arcade, and like the guy in the video I have trouble keeping multiball play intact. A lot of fun though
Firepower was released before both of those games. And the sounds and software for Firepower were developed by Eugene Jarvis, who was instrumental in the programming and development of Robotron and Defender, which accounts for the similarities.
Steve Ritchie makes the best pinball games on earth.
One of my favorites. I played this all the time in college. Nice to see it’s as brutally fast and difficult as I remember.
What a classic. One of my all time favs!

loved playing this and pretty much every other machine back in the day 👍
es uno de mis favoritos incluso entre mi decia que estaba con los amigos / compañeros de la escuela por los personajes que salian en el flippers 😊
Steve Ritchie games are always pretty good.

17,410 made
Firepower is a great machine
First multi ball? This came when I was 15. Was epic efx back then

Damn I wish they still had pinball machines around
I played this as a kid, Great game, Can be really hard!

I first played this game when I was 8 years old and it was almost brand new and I also achieved multiball the first time I played it.
I was 18 when it came out...stands out,
The ruleset is simple and it’s fairly easy to do well on this M/C. On of the reasons I love it so. ❤️ ❣️
huuuuu.. que recuerdos de niño.... marco mi niñez este fliper... saludos desde uruguay
My favorite pinball game growing up! I remember when it first came out (aging myself) as the “new game” by Williams...
Ouh, played it hours land hours with my girlfriend Anschi. What a good time then. She loved the Multiball and i liked to eatch while she was playing in full concentration. Would love to play one again.
This machine got me through college.
My favorite machine of them all!
That multiball lasted 8 seconds. Bummer!.
Schade das diese schöne zeit nie wieder kommt :-( aber mit solchen alten flipper kann man sie sich für kurze zeit zurückholen :-)
Let's get stoned and play FIREPOWER.

Que recuerdos me traen estas maquinas
my childhood
they have one at a one of the arcades here in town...challenging pinball- very tough to score a lot of points on it, but so much fun to play...

LOL! Merci d'avoir partagé. Avez-vous d'autres traductions de titres de pinball?
There was the black hole too back then that was a every day at the local arcade lololll
I play this pinball on Wii (Pinball Hall Fame)
When I had Wii.
Thomas Dickensheets On my example of the Wii game, I actually set the high score. I don't remember the exact number for my high score.
Now I have The Pinball Arcade for the Xbox One.

...this table, Gorgar and Black Knight acvount for most of my misspent pocket money and misspent youth... Back in the days when I had hair (",)
I was more a Stern kind of guy back in the day - Seawitch, Catacomb, Ali and Split Second. I had hair back then too, now look at me !

How can I play this game
Everyone is commenting on the pinball itself I wanna talk about this poor guys luck

Where's the drop targets?
Only prototype Firepowers (or games that have been modified to accommodate them) have drop targets
@@londonpinball Why is that?

hours wasted in a tent on venice beach in the 80s ..if ya hit the coin slot just right....credits just popped up like magic

Sounds like defender and robotron!

@@londonpinball I own a Robotron and I believe it has the same sound board that's used in this pin and later in system 7 games.
You should try the AI version I've made of this table.
Great job you did on the AI, I play it a lot! Thank you.

Yup. I'm not good at playing pinball machines.
