Muhammad Al-Amirul but she’s basically using her head voice to reach those notes in the song. Her chest voice and her belted notes resemble she’s being an alto. Everyone can do high notes by using head voice / falsetto but those who are properly trained can nail the notes with that register which Ning happened to be that person.
Secretzsongbird i think you misunderstood the word tessitura. Her comfortable range is basically mid-low octave but her voice is very big. Her access to those higher notes seems effortless cause she used a lot of head voice register but it’s a good think to know that she received a good training to do that! Her belted notes are actually at the 4th octave. I personally love when she hit the low notes cause she could do that with ease! Not many singers can do low noted like her and Siti Sarah and others to name a few.
Must respect to the lagendary Soul Malaysia Miss Ning Baizura & Syafinaz queen of Soprano’s Malaysia...love both😘😘

If I’m not mistaken, Syafinaz, the woman on the rightest was not one of the original singers in this song..she was replacing queen Ziana Zain. I wonder why? Hmm...
Ok I just checked the original track just now. The singers are Nora (replaced by Dayang in this vid), Ziana Zain (replaced by Syafinaz), Ning Baizura (Original) n Dessy (replaced by Siti).

When you didn' t recognize Ning Baizura at first.... I was like "You must be kidding me!!!!". Hahahahaha. BTW Syafinaz really shocked me in this performance. Fyi her tone and singing style are not really favourable in Malaysia and she is known as a idk how you say it but i guess 'soprano style' singer.
