Came for the bear, stayed for the berf.
Words cannot explain how much I love this show. It’s getting to me at a human level, below the surface, straight to the heart. Congrats to everybody involved in this masterpiece. Season 1 was incredible. This is spectacular. Subtle and it feels real.

i started watching this YESTERDAY and I literally have seen all 2 seasons in less than 24 hours. It blew me away. Other than the Claire episode which i found awkward I LOVED it. The dinner scene with Jamie Lee Curtis was the most amazing acting i have seen in a LONG time. Jamie Lee Curtis should get an Oscar for THAT. Wow. It made me feel so uncomfortable because it reminded me a lot of my own toxic family and holiday dinners on a visceral level (the reason I no longer go to them)

Richie has one of the best character arcs that I have ever seen for a character. I hated him in season 1, the only sympathy I had for him was that he was losing his family. But by enyd of season 2, he is hands down my favourite of the lot.

Just finished season 1, And I don't think I have watched a show that shows how stressful it could be in a restaurant kitchen and also equally wholesome!!

What an incredible season finale! Who knew how everyone did their part even though that Walk-in disaster of Carmy. Although the individual got locked up behind, his suppressed emotions bursted out like a pressure cooker blowing off some steam. Boy! That stuff came out hard.
Listen y'all when it comes to falling in love with a series on Hulu or Netflix. My heart gets stomped to bits because they always get cancelled, even when they have good ratings. So they better not do it with this one, because if they do I'm done and canceling Hulu for good.

대화와 상황의 진도가 안 나가고 지들 각자 큰소리로 쓰잘데기 없는 말 고함치는 게 절반.
작가나 감독이 (혹은 둘 다) ADHD 같다.
캐릭터들 중 누구 하나 상식 갖춘 자들이 없고, 특히 리치(리차드), 성격도 꿍해서 해야 할 말도 못하거나 또라이 같은 처신.
시즌1 단점이 2에서는 나아지겠지 했는데, 여전하다.
I tried. Being a Shameless fan, I really tried to enjoy The Bear. Way too much yelling. I'm not talking about how they interact in the kitchen. I'm talking about how too many conversations wind up in screaming matches. I made it through Season 1, telling myself it would get better. and it did for the first few episodes in Season 2, then back to the prolonged yelling matches. What is the appeal of this?
I think people who like the show (myself included didn't watch S2 yet but getting there) love it's thematics about depression, anxiety, and human relations but yeah i Can understand why you don't like it haha
this is how it is in a restaurant business.. you think it would get better.. but its anxiety and disappointment and the need to always improve

What is this show ABOUT???! It makes no sense
A chef who does upper crust food inherits his family's shabby restaurant. Multiple people yell at each other at the same time.
The place is in chaos earning a C rating.

The chef tries to raise the level of the restaurant.
Multiple people yell at each other at the same time.
They decide to renovate the place.
Multiple people yell at each other at the same time.
The renovation has problems.
Multiple people yell at each other at the same time.
They go to Christmas dinner at Mom's house.

That's as far as I got before I couldn't take it anymore.

The only thing I liked about this show is cinematography.
People have anger management issue. Yelling all the time. Whimsical and stupid and pessimistic almost every situations they were in.
About Carmen, his character looks like another version of Lip from , who is alcoholic and wrapped in his own shallow agony he created for himself.
I just hope there would be no season 3.

I had already got on a bit badly with the first season, but my goodness!!!!! The hipster levels in this season break all parameters!!!!! Weak script, unbearable characters (sydney), loss of verisimilitude, ethnocentrism (the black guy who goes to learn how to make desserts in Europe, as if there was no other continent, but he is taught by an Englishman, lest something escapes the Anglo-Saxon world) is almost impossible to watch without wanting to break the TV. Besides the general conceptual path that the series takes, leaving aside the everyday popular food, those dishes that we all love to move on to show signature food, I think the script loses strength and epicness. It becomes much less interesting. If it wasn't for Mathy Mathesson it would really suck.
