I’m 69 ‘years old and I just started my new lifestyle in the forest of Northern California.
I’m 75 minutes away from the city for car gas and shopping for foods, as I don’t want to do the amount of labor it takes to grow my own food and compete wit all the wild life that steel your food.
I’m out here at 3,800 ft. Elev. where not too much snow, and cooler in summer.
Most importantly is my quest for peace and spiritual growth which is why I am so great full
For being brave enough to get as far away from the city’s noise , the added bonus is, that if I am more self reliant and in a healthy environment I don’t have to worry about ending up in the assisted living facilities.
(Never going to go there),,! I highly recommend this beauty. For example, I got 4 acres with water for $190,000.

Pls what is your motivation for living like this? Is it your Faith?, so you can get to practise it well? Is it just a style of living you prefer and like to indulge in? why ? Pls do you go back to live in a city or town and practise a vocation/profession as most if us pple do? I would love to have your responses ....in the meantime GOD help u w all u need, to keep safe n bring us more video evidence that is possible to live this life style.

Thanks for including a backwoods cabin video...so we can come along! I learn something from your food choices in your videos. Great use of fresh eggs and fresh vegetables. I do not think I would like what looks to me to be a split pea type of vegetable sausage. The Netherlandish people use this as a long-keeping survival food and a good pantry item for a soup base. You enjoy candle lights: I would be inclined on longer trips to take a Welsh miners' style oil candle wick lamp and a container of oil--no open flames and maybe longer burn-times. Anyway, I watch your adventures and your equipment and your techniques with great interest.

I enjoyed the video, thank you. I have a cabin in the Adirondack mountains in northern New York State. LOL small wood stoves require a lot of wood processing. I know from experience, lots of cutting to make small logs that fit. The ceiling in the cabin looked low, does the cabin have a loft?

Hi, I have to ask, is this your cabin or a safety cabin ? Where it is looks like an old trail, that is why I say that, I know they put alot of them in case your stuck or in trouble, some use them like you too, they always have the door unluck, and wood, the only rule is leave the cabin the same way you find it, nice video, so nice without all the noise of cities and cars, civilisation, and I have to say, nothing beat a kid and father in the woods, or mother too, like I said I sub today, never came across before, so now you have 23001 :)

The stove would draw better if the vertical rise is right on the stove & a 45 deg elbow much higher up.
