Gotta love a Lightning Strike topdeck for the win! Prognostic Sphinx looks like it might be the "Desecration Demon" of Theros (ignored flier that gets way more popular after rotation).
Did Shaheen just miss multiple Scry triggers off of Prognostic Sphinx in game 2 or am I missing something ? I'm talking about the time of around 28:00.
He did not miss any scry triggers. Thassa's Ire is a decent card for these long game, control games. He is spending 4 mana to tap the Sphinx so that it cannot attack, thus never getting to trigger the scry 3 ability.

Yeah, Prognostic Sphinx and Herald of Torment will be really good in Standard

That freaking blowout game 2...such greed.
Thassa's Ire can be used against Aetherling.
Deptor's pulpit is a way better answer to aetherling
It doesn't provide devotion.
McClain could have won the 2nd game, if he kills the soldiertoken with the bow. no target, no -3/-3 for the others, or not?
Bow can only damage flyers. They didn't gain flying until after the ultimate resolves.
Doesnt really feel like Josh McClain really knows how to play that deck..
Too bad Rashad doesn't cast anymore
Pin to the earth
First!!!!!
